First Build - Reach Elite Ultra

I’ve finished printing and assembling the helmet, and I’m very excited with how it came out! Some of the assembly is a bit flawed due to printing errors and inexperience, but they’re things I’m going to fix in post process! I still need to print the eyes and will do so when I figure out my plans for them. I left open space in the front where I’m going to put a visor at.

This thing is truly massive! The back “fin” pieces add a considerable amount of weight. If anyone has tips on methods in which I can wear this thing comfortably I’d love to hear them.

This is where I got the STL from: elite ultra helmet

(Sorry for a duplicate thread, I wasn’t sure where to delete it)

Looking great so far, are you planning to grab some stilts and build the whole thing, or just the helmet?
I think I’ll pass on the stilts this time since this is my first project and I already have much to learn. I plan on building the whole suit but I’m having trouble finding STLs for this armor, if any exist.

Helmet is 95% done!! I need to add the eyes and visor, clean up the paint job, sand some spots, then clear coat! This is my first ever project and I’m excited with how it turned out. Now onto the shoulders! (However I figure out how to get them)

Just a couple of questions about your build.

Who's files are you printing from? The raw prints look good.

Are you not planning to fill the gaps between the different parts? Filling the gaps between the parts will make this look super clean.

I've linked where I got the helmet STL in the original post. As for the other pieces It's been a struggle so far. I have the full model myself but It's difficult to remove the individual pieces and delete the space inside what the armor is attached to. And It's not nearly as clean as a professional of course.

Do you have any tips about the assemble lines? I tried Bondo Glazing & Spot Putty but it couldn't get all of the lines. The lines on the left side is a protruding space and I think It's something I'll have to live with.
