First time, looking for advice

What’s up everyone! I’m building my first armor set ever Halo 3 ODST and I’m all in. I’ve 3D printed almost the entire suit and sized everything to myself in Armorsmith, so it’s finally getting real.

I’m at the point where I’ll actually be wearing it soon, and now I’m dialing in the underarmor. I’ve seen a lot of people use basic bodysuits, but honestly they look too flat and empty to me. It kind of kills the realism and makes the whole build feel less authentic.

I want that gritty, deployed ODST look layered, tactical, believable. If anyone has tips, references, or build advice for making a more realistic undersuit, I’m all ears.

I am also attaching pictures of my helmet so far please feel free to critique it!

I dyed Deployment ocps for my odst and i thought it looked pretty good, it also was extremely breathable and comfortable.

A lot of standard tac gear seems to be a good base- i got the base base of my gear just out of random tactical clothing listings on aliexpress. they'll give you some pouch complexities, material variation etc. but i also find that layers help add subtle complexity that pushes it into belivability, a flak vest of some sort, shoulders, I've got a sort of neoprene chaps setup under my thigh plates... doesnt sound like much written out but when it all comes together it ends up building the trick. from there you have lots of nooks and crannies and seams you can weather from to make it look as gritty as you see fit!
