Getting started with a full suit

Ok Im Very new here and Want to make my suit...But I came by a problem.....One I dont have the Dimentions of the suit and 2 How much clay do you use to make the models of the suit.cause if 20-30 lbs of clay does the helmet thats roughly comes out to about $105 correct? I just want to price things out so when I get back from basic training I can put money aside for the supplies.

i did the pep armor, with some expanding foam... not too bad a job, but not clay.... i detailed the process in my blog....
