Okay so I tried to start this thread in the pepakura forum but it seems as a noob I can't start threads in there yet. I also wanted to start a separate thread for the files so it would be easier for people to find them in the future, as opposed to having to hunt through the thread of the grunt costume I made for my kidlet. :)

Please keep in mind these files were scaled for a boy of around 4'-2", and each file has all of the pieces, but I moved the appropriate ones for each body part into the printing area.

If you have any questions about the pieces by all means ask. :)

Oh, and I do not recall where I found the actual grunt model to make the pep files, but if you recognize it as either yours or someone you know, THANK YOU! You made this man super cool with his kid. :)

OMG!!! This is perfect! I came across this model but it was in a format I couldn't open! I needed this for a totally different project I am working on. Thank you for posting this!!!! :D

wow this is amazing. Is it life size? Also you could scale it down and may be simplify the fold and it could go with this

I also want to point out that since you seem to be the one that did the unfold for this model, you MUST make sure that as an unfolder, you have the proper margin set for the different paper types. Some people might not be aware of this and print as is, which is wrong.

A4 paper has a margin of 15 and letter paper has a margin of 5. I actually have this info included in a scaling tutorial that I created. :p

Oh yes I should have mentioned, because my printer has larger margins, I have set the letter sized margins to work with my printer, so it is 7 for the sides and 12 or 13 for the top and bottom. My printer lobotomizes the prints if the margins are set to 5. :)

Also, it should be mentioned these files are set up as if this were to be built as a costume for kids to wear, and not as a model to be built. If you want to build it as a model, simply grab any of the files and move the rest of the pieces into the printing area, but you will need to unfold the rest.

Thank you for posting these and clarifying that they are for a costume , but the rest of the pieces are also there in the file just off the printed pages. I was a bit confused at first when I looked at the files.

He's going to love it Sandy! Maybe with enough time the 405th will have a whole army of Unngoy! Which part of Alberta are you in? I'm down in Calgary myself.

well im building one right now but not as a costume we have the head and 2 legs done..... one thing i noticed with your files some files are missing parts which i found off to the side... just wanted to let u know.....

Thanks for the heads up. :)
Yeah all of the pieces are there, but I didn't unfold the pieces that were related to the upper arms, upper legs, or neck. I supposed I should have titled the thread "Pepakura Files for Grunt Costume". Would have saved on some of the confusion. :)

Grunt Files

Thanks for the links. I have been looking for this for my son as well. He wants in on the action with Dad and his older brother. This is Perfect.

You are the reason I joined this forum

Ok that sounded creepy. Actual my son saw your fantastic costume and was thrilled that you had the links for the Pep pattern, but the links don't work. So I joined the forum so that I could ask you update the links, please oh please.
