Not sure if this was the proper place to post this, but I REALLY want a lot of people to see this and am hoping for a big turn out. Right now it's just a mere thought, but let me give you guys the low down.......

I am going to be getting married soon........and I mean SOON as in 7/7. XD LOL My fiance and I have been thinking of many plans on how we want to do it. First we thought just run away to Hawaii for 5 nights and get married there then come back and have a reception. Then we thought of doing it the cheap way and just get married in front of a judge to make it legal since we have already been together for 7 years (ha! Another 7! XD).

However, I am so into Halo and now that I got into this armor building thing, I thought it would be cool to dress up in my hayabusa costume and him dress as MC, but then my creative mind just exploded with what I think will be the coolest, most memorable wedding EVER!

I want to do a full blown Halo themed wedding! :D I want to dress up as Cortana, him dress as MC and invite other people that want to come, preferably 21+ due to any alcohol that might be there, but 18+ might be okay. Just bring ID, but for those that wish to be a part of this Halo costume party/wedding, I would want just about EVERYBODY to dress up! I want to see ODST's, Marines, other spartans and possibly even a Sgt. Johnson to stand at the door taking care of the guest list! LOL XD

I want the balloons to look like 343 Guilty Spark and I wish to have the whole interior to be designed to look forerunner. :pThe person that will marry us.........I want him to dress like Lord Hood! LMAO

Now of course, I do not know many people and I doubt that they would want to dress up like that which is why I came here. I was HOPING that if there was anybody that liked the idea of this would like to come and dress up. Even though it is a wedding, you could think of it as a mini convention, but strictly Halo themed. :pI have MANY ideas of how I want to put this all together, but I know nothing about electrical/lighting and wouldn't know how to do it, so it would be awesome if there

was anybody that wouldn't mind helping out and setting things up. :)

Now of course, this is asking a lot, but right now, I am just looking to see if anybody would even be interested in attending since I am looking for quite a bit here and I want to make this a totally epic wedding! My fiance already started wondering if we could rent that fully functional warthog and use it to drive away in instead of driving off in a limo! LOL Of course, I don't see that happening since I doubt it would happen, but it would still be cool! haha

So in the end, I am looking for people that would LOVE to come, dress up and be a part of my Halo dream wedding!

Naturally, these are NOT my final plans, although I would like for it to be, but I just wanted to see if it would be possible to pull this off. XD I don't need a crazy amount of people, I think 30 people would be good enough. :p

Oh, and one more little thing, if this does look like it's going to work out, I have an idea for a "special guest" but I am not going to say anything yet at this time. :p

MOST importantly, this is a BYOC (Bring Your Own Costume) so if you got it, wear it! :p

Sounds like a killer idea, though you may need to throw some of those guilty spark balloons on the classified section after the big day.

Would be great to have the maid of honor dressed as Dare and the best man as Buck, with a whole marine ensemble for the rest of the wedding party.

Possibly a grunt costume if you have a child be the ring bearer but that may be pushing it a little too far.

Well, I am looking for a little more of an all UNSC type thing. No covenant, so grunts are out. :p

sounds awesome! My wife and i had a HALO wedding, it was perrty fun :] Something you may like is action figures as table center pieces.

That could be awesome for a wedding. I would want to do one like that be my girlfriend would probably kill me.

Pat

Interesting idea, if this goes through film it and stick it on youtube xD the next big viral vid'

and there is almost no chance of getting the weta to loan out the hog, and even then, the shipping of a vehicle from New Zealand to Michigan wouldn't be cheap

Yeah, I am already well aware that there is not way that I could ever get that, but it was just a thought. I can dream can't I? :pIt would still be pretty epic if I could get it though! XD haha

that's probably the coolest idea for a wedding since the starwars wedding. although it sounds like its going to be a bank buster. you pull it off, you would be a halo-fan legend.

if your looking for a warthog what about the operation chastity warthog? wonder if they would rent it out seeing as they are in the states and the money might help out in their movie. although that would depend on when there shooting and if its operational.

Cortana and the Chief married by lord hood would be really cool, but when you think about it, Cortana is made from a flash clone brain of Dr Halsey and the chief looks to the Dr more as a mother figure. another option would be Kelly-087 and the chief. a bit of love seems to be between these two in the books. might not be as cool as a Cortana and chief though.

whatever you do you'll be a a legend of fans.

Itd be cool to get Ron Perlman to be lord hood, since he did the voice and all. Just a way to make it all the more authentic, lol. That sounds like itd be an awesome idea for a wedding. I got invited to a prom and tried to convince the girl to let me wear my armor if I had it done, but she said no. :( Sad face. Those guilty spark balloons would be awesome. I'd buy a bag of em just so I could inflate 'em and pop em. "FINALLY! He's not invincible and it doesn't take a spartan laser to kill the %*#$@#^! Just this needle." lol. Good luck with it. Thats one thing that would be awesome to see. Buttload of spartans and marines and odsts at a wedding. WOW. If only Sarah were into halo... oh well.

You have another three months. Should be plenty of time to finish it if you want to attend.

Congradulations Halo godess, your fience is the luckeyest, man alive, gats to have a halo wedding, hope you 2 have a long and prosperous relationship!=D

This sounds like the coolest thing imaginable. I wish I could come, but I'm nowhere near you (I think) and I'm not 18! Oh, and I couldnt have a costume done by then sooooo yeah. But anyway, yeah, all that stuff sounds cool, and I'm sure if you go online you could find a place that could custom make balloons like that. Jut might be expensive, and take while...but that is a lot, and all the stuff like the Sergeant Johnson taking the gueust list sounds cool, and so does the lord hood thing. I'm sure that every active 405th member is interested and cant wait :D

would love to go is i get my costume finished... congratz halogoddess. im gonna watch this thread to see when and where.

That would be a fantastic wedding! (unfortunately, I live nowhere near you, I'm not 18, and I'm probably going to be working that weekend :lol) SO YOU BETTER POST SOME PICS!!!

I remember seeing another halo wedding (it wasn't half as bad@ss as yours sounds) a near or two back, and I think either SeanBradley or Link4404 helped set it up. (One of them may have been officiating the ceremony... in a MasterChief suit.)

:lol

Best of luck to you two, and I hope you both have a long and happy marriage!

I say go for it! About ten years back my wife and I did a HUGE Star Wars themed wedding. Lifetime Network was even going to do a tv special about it till the wife drew the line at making the whole thing a media event. I guess I had to count myself lucky she went along with the theme. One cool thing we did was have the groomsmen in full Jedi gear make an arch with thier lightsabers so we could walk between them after the ceremony.A fully remote controlled R2D2 delivered the ring. Even had Darth Vader and Darth Maul interrupt the ceremony. There is so much you can do with themed weddings.
