halo reach grenade launcher question?!?!?!?

hey i've been hoping to start a grenade launcher build as soon as i can get some materials but i was wondering... does anyone know how to make it fire airsoft grenade shells? i have some vague ideas of how to do it but i just want to see if there are any better ideas haha. thanks and i appreciate any help i can get

You could purchase an airsoft grenade launcher and build Reach's model around it... it'd be the simplest way

i was thinking of that but the only break action grenade launchers i could find were a full size m79 (stock and all) and a sawn-off m79 (too short)

Looks like all you need is a caulking gun

Rather simple process, just so long as you have a firing pin it'll work fine. You could use a spring and latch system, but a modified caulking gun works well too (Obviously you would modify it a lot more than this guy did for good look, but a great starting point
