Halo The TV Series Master Chief full build

Looking at the convos and armor and thinking ahhh yes intersting.. scroll to the cats and just started laughing. I was not quite ready for that ahhahaha.

I mean if you end up building them mech suits keep me posted lolz

Printer is back on line so I've completed printing the right calf armor and have all the COD pieces printed except for the butt plate which is printing now (12 hr print) ... that just leaves the chest and thighs ... and speaking of the thighs ... it's taken over 8 months and about 100 yds of fabric and another 20 do overs or more (lol) but the under suit pants are basically done. I still need to decide what I'm going to do for the waist band ... Velcro or elastic band and a couple of the side strips of Velcro from the side ribbing still needs to be sewed. However, its as close as I can do to the TV show's undersuit given how they actually did it ...

Creating the Ghoul silicon mask from scratch including my first ever creature sculpt was actually easier than these pants. ...

I didn't even think of this as a solution for energy shields and weapons. This is so cool! Now ive got ideas for iterations to my suit once I get it all together.

Thank you Nimitz!
. The energy sword will actual be a 1:1 scale 3D printed weapon with individually addressable RGB LED strips inside it and a micro controller so that you can have the energy sword come alive from base to tip like on the show and also some different color and flash effects ...

I've had a long talk with both Orion & Rocket and given that they are Main Coon kittens (13 months old) they are up for a lot of things but sadly wearing mech suits was a hard 'no' ... they can be such party poopers at times ...

yeah idk.. cats arent one for wearing clothes... use to date nice exotic dancer and she had a hard time keeping hers clothed too.

ok, after spending WAY too much time getting my ETSY shop up and running and fixing my 3D printer and printing out a Vera kit for a customer I'm finally back to focusing on The MC ...
first up was finishing the pants undersuit which needed an elastic waistband so I called up my non existent sewing skills and got to work. I ended up putting a velcro tab in the front & back since the waist portion of the pants were not as conformal as i would have liked.
I also avoided having to do a major alternation of the legs ... when I first tried it on, while it fit it, the legs were very snug, more than I really wanted so I considered opening up the leg seams and adding a stretch band similar to what I had to do to for arms of my Mando jacket. however, then i remembered the plan was to wear skin tight lycra pants & top under everything and once I put that on the undersuit pant slide on quite nicely without issue.
There is one mod I may do at the very end once the leg armor is completed & fitted .... from the knees down the undersuit is not visible and currently my pants run to just above my angles so I could cut off the bottom 6" or so making the pants even more wearable since they are the tightest around my calf and the less material the cooler the oversuit will be to wear however I will need to add some foam padding to the inside of the calf armor and the undersuit acts as nice cushion so I may end up just leaving it alone. So basically the undersuit pants are complete & I can move on to getting the thigh armor sized correctly.
I've also completed resizing the COD armor & the first pierce (butt plate) is now printing ... 18 hr print. while the COD pieces are printing I'll return to completing the undersuit top. I need to come up with an attachment method for the torso laser cut foam to the vest which will likely be Velcro so that it is removable if I need to repair it. I also need to make a final decision on how the vest will open/close. right now I removed the front buttons and added a velcro strip which I think will work but I need to stare at it a little longer and work though any possible 'gotchas' in my head before fully committing.
I'm no longer really that confident I can have him complete the way I want by MegaCon 2026 in March since I'm leaving for Egypt for a couple of weeks at the end of Dec. Not really the end of teh world since I completed my Colt Severs costume I will have at least one new costume to wear regardless ... that will mean no entry into the Masters of Cosplay for 2026 but given my recent utter failure (again) of my Cooper Howard AKA: The Ghoul at the Fallout Fan Celebration in Nevada a few weeks ago I'm not sure these contests are teh best use of my time ... we'll see
