Hello! Im *technically* new and wanted to show off my current ODST project!

To start here was the basic armor I built on top of. Everyone here knows about the Andrew DFT templates, and they're the ones I used more than 8 years ago on my very first ODST(we don't talk about that). So I very heavily modified them as I went but in this stage they're still pretty similar.
Also side note in almost done I just want to post the progress

Here you see them start to deviate slightly from the OG templates, like starting with that lil vent detail on there. That I'm really proud of tbh it was a good amount of carving HD foam with a stone bit on my dremel

I do have access to Galaxtic Armorys ODST armor files so I decided to mix some of that into the armor because I quite like the look of 3d printed parts when painted with foam. On the same suit you can also see I installed another set of padded shoulder straps I wrapped with Yaya Hans scuba hex fabric. Honestly at this point I was over the moon at how pretty it was becoming

And finally these are mine and my Clients suits as of 2 days ago. Clean, fresh base coat of paint, and needing some more strapping and buckles to be installed. Will be updating this as the week continues. Happy Valentine day! Also pls help Mr figure out what color to use as an accent I really like these 3

i think its a awesome job on the armor.. now for accent color i would go with red because the us marines have a red strip on the legs of there dress blue (known as a blood stripe) shows they have seen battle thats my opinion.

I mean I’m always a little biased towards red so that’s where my vote goes! My second choice would be the gold-yellow on the first spoon

Not the greatest photos but i promised progress so here take it. The base is essentially done but I really want a few colored accents on it that I'm still deciding on.
While I'm extremely happy with how this came out I think I can do a little better with the fit. Maybe extend the shoulder straps so the whole thing sits a little lower. Otherwise the torso is like, done done. More posts incoming this weekend tho

this looks great so far keep up the great work

Still workshopping the shoulder I want but so far it looks good! Def gonna reduce the size of the top shelf portion but for now I'm happy with it. Seeing it all come together is literally making me feel SO hyped up for it to finally come together. Belt is next(once I get more funds) and soon after its shins and thighs!

We out here!!!! Decided to go for the warmer yellow option from my precious post. Im really loving the pattern and I'm VERY excited to see the paint all weathered and dirtied. I did however run out of tape so oops I can't do any more masking. Chest stripes are next but after that the whole upper body is good to go

I seen your posts on the FB group, good to see your on here so I can follow this build. The needler damage looks awesome. Are they 3D or resin printed?
Oh thanks! And those needles are neither, they're hot glue! Some hot glue sticks sloppily carved to a point and tinted pink with some colors hint paint and they're good to go. They especially look good with a pink led backing

I had a feeling it may have been hot glue sticks carved into shape but second guessed myself when posting have you got photos or video of them tinted and illuminated?

Not until today, sorry for taking so long! I'm right now in the middle of figuring out how tonfasten these properly in the shoulders and after that I'll be tinting and installing em
