Hi, I got blender last night (for like the fifth time) and spent an hour starting the sculpting for a custom helmet. To see what would happen if I exported it to Pepakura, I did so, and found out it has way to many faces. Is this because I used the sculpting option? If so, what option do I need to use. Any help appreciated.

Within pep designer you can set the angle threshold down to drastically reduce the amount of polys showing up (removing fold lines for angles greater than specified threshold).

Settings > Other Settings > (bottom of the new window) Threshold ___ Deg. Try setting at 160 and see what happens

Thanks for the quick response. I have another question that just occurred to me. Do I need to hollow out the inside of the sculpt to make it a helmet? I know it seems a simple question but there it is.

I don't think you would have to hollow it out, just don't print out the pieces where the neck hole is and you should be good to go haha.
