I think a more likely scenario is a terrorist getting hold of nuclear weapons from whatever source (Iran, perhaps?) and starting World War III. That brings us back to the discussion, since we do need to think about methods of protecting against nuclear weaponry not just when it's being launched half-way across the world on a rocket, but also when it is set off right in our own back yard. That would limit the risk posed by radicals across the world and hey, a nuke sure does a lot more to change the climate than a few SUV's worth of Co2, right?
There is a good way to put all of these nukes lying around to good use though, by using them to power Orion-type rockets to colonize/explore our solar system and reach out to the stars.
yeah thats rigth nuke the aliens, just kidding but yeah just not all of them

why in the hell haven't i heard of the US losing any wars?
in school, we are currently learning about the war in 1866, i can't remember its name buts its got to do with Germany, and they lose some and they win some. Thats not the case when we learn about US history, have we lost any wars?

i doubt we couldnt be going undefeated, its almost impossible
It's called Censorship.

I won't go in too much but the war in Vietnam was lost, long before his end.

Showing up with superior technology and cool gadgets does not guarantee victory, far from it. This is a lesson that has been learned, forgotten, relearned, forgotten again, and is being relearned. The modern western militaries, with all their technology and money, are getting their collective asses handed to them by a bunch of guys with $150 AK-47's and Soviet Surplus RPG's. No, technology alone won't win your war. Something to think about: The guerrilla wins if he doesn't lose. The military loses if it doesn't win. -H. Kissinger.
