I do not know the full story but:
I cannot respect the people on both sides of this fence. The noobs who take others work for their own *AND* someone who pulls the pin on all this work.
*shrugs*
In regards to those who are taking the work for thier own, are the files password protected? Thats one way (All be it, a dodgey solution in my book) around it. But you have to realise when you work on things and release them to the public domain, this kind of thing will happen. Always. Im not surprised at all.
But the beauty of places like this, a colabrative community, is that you have so many talented people willing to help and provide the skills for everyone else. Being part of a Hackerspace in Australia, i know the value of these types of communities. I think Dung0beetle has made up his mind, and it will be a huge loss of a talented person, but Im certain others will pick up the pieces here.
