Good morning, afternoon, evening, night to all who may peruse this! This my first proper foray into working on a full suit so recommendations and tips are welcome!
So, what is this build?
Im glad you asked! This build is going to be my dipping a toe into the realm that is 3D printing armor. The lessons I learn from this, and any subsequent modifications, will be used to eventually make a more complex and challenging suit of armor. The plan is to utilize my Kobra 2 Max from Anycubic to print the armor pieces. Then mount them to an undersuit consisting of a contemporary style BDU and plate carrier utilizing MOLLE systems and a healthy amount of straps and buckles.

Not a half bad plan. But why this armor?
Well, I recently fell back in love with Halo Infinite and looked more into the story outside of the events that Master Chief experiences in the campaign of Halo Infinite. In particular, I was fascinated by Halo: The Rubicon Protocol by Kelly Gay. This coupled with the tidbits of lore surrounding the Rakshasa core itself really caught my attention. Armor designed to allow for long periods of time outside of regular resupply and repair. To quote Halo Infinite "Key to its success are multiple levels of subsystem redundancy and an integral self-repair system." To me, this screams black ops deep insertion and its just so cool.
As for the reason I chose it for my first proper shot at a suit, its simple. There is little to no constant/ enclosing plating. Unlike armor sets such as those seen on the Mark VII, Mark V, Mark IV, or even the Eaglestrike armor cores, Rakshasa is simply plates of armor strapped onto an undersuit as opposed to the harness style armor we see on the aforementioned armor cores. In my mind, I can most definitely see armor plated being held on by some kind of hyper advanced grandchild of the MOLLE system that most NATO forces use in modern day militaries. This mini epiphany I had on the 12th of August coupled with my past in cosplaying more contemporary fighting forces led me to decide on Rakshasa for my first suit.
I'll spare you all the fluff I have for my spartan and why they rock the armor they do to keep this first post from being obscenely long.

So, you've got the armor you want and a plan on how to wear it. Now what?
Well, the first step is to find files that are as close to the armor in game as we can get. Now, not all the armor I have in game is available across the myriad of armor resources at our disposal. Which is fine! The Rakshasa core is meant to be flexible in terms of armor so I will be too!
Over the past couple days Ive discussed with others in the 405th, namely in Colonial, about resources for Rakshasa armor since it will form the majority of the armor. The two big hitters I was pointed toward were Galactic Armory and Aguilar Workshop. Both sets of files look phenomenal and I would be remiss if I did not commend both of their respective hosts for their incredible work. For the purpose of this build, I went with Aguilar Workshop since they had the vast majority of the armor core and the parts I need in their shop as well as guaranteed parts compatibility.
Now, here's where I mention some snags. I could not for the life of me find the Arger helmet, TAC/ Best Friend, Ruckamuck Rangeking, UTIL/ Riprail, and the Xcudo Knex knee pads. However, I did have some ideas on how to remedy these snags.

Alright, theres all the information core, pun intended, to my Rakshasa build! I've already done the sizing in Armorsmith Designer but this post is long enough as is, so I'll spare you the additional details as well as my less than flattering avatar.

Ba-dum-tss - Chest armor is the Ruckamuck Rangeking.
- Doisac Kiss on the right forearm.
- A classic ODST right shoulder.
- TAC/Best Friend on the left shoulder.
- Standard Drapsmann gloves.
- UTIL/Riprail on the left thigh.
- Xcudo Knex knee pads.

- We replace the Arger helmet with MoeSizzlac's Halo Infinite Omega Team Robert Helmet since it is as close as I could find to the Arger helmet. That and the extra gubbins look really nice.
- The TAC/Best Friend will be replaced with Aguilar Workshop's Halo Infinite MK VI left shoulder. I will attach a file I have for a similar knife onto the shoulder in a way to pay homage to the armor worn by Fred-104 in the Halo Legends episode The Package.
- The Ruckamuck Rangeking's pouches can be solved by utilizing spare MOLLE based pouches I have already. As for the magpul style MA40 magazine holders, and the magazines therein, I can pull them from files I have and print them separate before attaching during actual assembly.
- The UTIL/ Riprail... eh. I'll probably slap a pouch there for usage during conventions. You can never have enough pockets!
- Xcudo Knex knee pad lookalikes can most likely be sourced from a local sporting goods store. If that fails, we simply fall back to the stock core's US/Type SN knee pads!
