I almost bought that backpack 2 years ago, till I noticed the price tag.I nstead made a template of my own. Never got to get it cut out though.
Looks like a 3d model to me Something pepakura like.

I say... PLEASE DO. That thing looks sweet!... Though don't make it look exactly like that or you'll get sued for it, but all you need to make it more comfortable is padding.

it looks nothing close to anything halo related but it sure does look nice!
too bad it's too small for me, i have a 17" laptop xD
