I think it has to do with post count but if you put up a great build or are really helpful you get ranked up quicker. It's stated in the intro video I think.

Yeah it just takes time. Once you've been here for a while, contributed to the community, and different things like that, it will eventually "rank up".

Its the number of posts, I think 100 or so, to get to infantryman. Do what PsHWilliam043 said and your good.

Don't go spamming posts, the mods will see this and keep you at a lower rank. Just contribute, and sooner than later you'll be an infantryman.
