I will stay silent through a game until someone decides to talk to me, or the everso common insult.I play CoD4, quite well I might add, and im always getting yelled at for "cheap shots" and "cheating". Its really an excuse for little kids to feel better about themselves. If you beat them in a game it will hurt their poor little self-esteem and they want to build it up so they go through every insult they know to try and be tough, of course failing in the process. I just ignore them, and occasionally put them in their place

but the funnest thing to do to a little kid when you finally get tried of them cusing you out you T-bag them, but you should do that every chance you get cause its like a rule in xbox live

Wrong-O. Teabagging is the worst thing you could do, to me anyway. I will come out swinging hardcore after I see some punk teabag me. So that score that my team is already ahead by is about to double cause I just went from semi-serious Halo player to super-serious Halo player in about two seconds. That sort of crap just makes me focus even more on making sure that person sees the respawn counter even more. You piss people off doing that more than you know.

The people I usually play with don't take too kindly to teabagging either, so all I have to say is 'tea bagging' and everyone on my team plays that much harder to humiliate the opposing team.

Teabagging is seen more of a waste of time by my fellow clansmen and I as you could be helping your teammates take out the next person instead of doing a meaningless gesture just to show off.

I know what you mean... First off kids arnt allowed to play Halo, secondly they shouldnt be talkin like they are from "the hood", lastly I hate the ones that think they beat you in a game.

There was this one kid, he sounded like he was 7 years old, and he had the worst 'sailors mouth' i've ever heard. Anyway Me and my friend were playing against him and we got the lead by like 2 (the kids partner did all the bloody work) and then they went and hid and while we were looking for them they would do stupid things like throw 4 grenades at a door they knew one of us would be walkin in and get a cheap kill... we would have won but they just kept hiding till the time was up. They won by 1 kill, a cheap kill. And the 7 year old started goin off like we (me and dan) were the noobs and cursing and harrasing. I explained to the brat that he didnt win fairly and he shoulnt be playing halo. The kid got really annoyed and started harrasing me and dan so I reported him (lol) but NO that didnt stop him he bothered me and dan for the rest of the day by sending us stupid messages saying we sucked at halo, we are noobs, etc. If i ever come across that kid again I swear i'll rip his ____ off and shove them down his throat.

I agree, they'd take all the credit saying something like "Yeah, you suck Sh*t" when they are doing NONE of the work. you guys are gonna' hate me but...

I was playing in a party with some friends, and we went into big team battle. We played big teambag

It was just like any other Big Team Battle game, EXCEPT, we had to teabag any and every person we saw get killed... even if they were nowhere near us, or on our own team. aggressive teabagging too.. with melees and stuff.

OMG that was funny.. We're trying to shoot folks while teabagging, and some of them started teabagging us.. We were losing, but the other team could hear us laughing and tea bagging each other, etc. By the time the end scores came up we were all (both teams) laughing.

ok.. so I'm immature and it was late... it was still a lot of fun.

As far as the cursing and everything, I like to snipe.. just wait for a break in the onslaught of vulgarity and then blam! calmly nail them in a "hey.. does your mom know you're this stupid, or is it supposed to be a secret?" type joke.


When I let my kid play halo, I plug-in the headphones but don't let him wear them. We can sometimes hear folks singing and stuff, and he can yell at the headset so folks hear him, but that's it.. Unless his teammates are my real life friends, in which case he can wear them til the match is over.

His maturity level is such that he knows the difference between video game fantasy morality and real world morality, which is really the basis of saying Halo is a mature game anyways.

Some kids on LIVE are REALLY REALLY funny though.. There was one the other day that wanted my son and I to check out his forged map.. and I swear he sounded JUST like that perverted grandpa from family guy.

Instead of saying."..boy.. you sure look strong, but tired.. would you like to come in? would you like a popsicle? would you like to come in and have a popsicle from my fridge? You can have a popsicle.. they're in my fridge.."

He was saying "how was that?.. did you guys like that map? did you like that one? was that gooood? was that a gooood map?" he was like 5, and his maps were just retarded, and he'd ask if we liked them right after we spawned.. too funny.

Another time it was a kid doing the Borat voice thing which is usually irritating, but there was two of them doing it, and they ran around calling themselves the Borat brothers. I dunno.. you had to be there I guess, but I couldn't stop laughing.

I can take playful teabaggin and comments from friends and whatever and its usually hilarious, but when im in a ranked game and one of them screws up I instantly get mad. I can take the playful thing in a custom game for quite awhile then I pretty much get sick of laughin and then i get upset lol, its a personal problem hahahaha.

I stay silent also, but when someone insults me, let heaven have mercy upon their souls!!! jk, but seriously, one time i was playing social slayer on the pit, and right when i entered the lobby, two 20-somethin's started making fun of my mooseguy name and were poking fun of my inferior rank. We go into the match and our team wins 50-30something. I got MVP and went +15-20ish. the two jerk-#ffs both went negative and were killed most by me. After the game, I was like "what a shame, beaten by a moose." the two guys left, crying to their mamas and then sent me messages like they always do, saying "rematch without cheating f%cktard" or "F#&king little f4**ot thinks he's good, its a TEAM game artard." I decided to take up the offer of 1-on-1 against one of them. Right into the lobby, curses are flying as I remain silent. We do MLG v4 settings on Guardian with BR's. I win 25-13. The guy curses me out, saying i used the BR too much. (WTF? thats the f-ing starting weapon, when he shotty who%$d the whole time?) and immediately left. I thought this would be funny to share, showing that not just kids can be a$$holes on Live.

Parents who shouldnt have kids play halo at a young age. Then they go buy headsets and webcams for their small children to talk and view others, then they wonder why their kids grow up wild and how it all went wrong. Alot of people on xbox live arent friendly around kids and badly influence them, teaching them certain words they should never know, and other things kids shouldnt be exposed to at their age.

It's not so much the kids as it is the immature ones. My cousin is 11 and he plays Halo (quite good, actually), but he doesn't go on LIVE and cuss everyone out. The way I see it is if you act mature enough to play the game, you should be allowed to.

Lucky enough i'm 16... the legal age limit in europe is 15-16 (depending on where you live)... so i'm playing legally, and i can buy the game from a store legally.

EDIT: Guys i disagree with "cheap shots" If someone is camping etc.. you cant say they suck if they are winning...
It just means that you cannot kill them... and yes you suck.

Of course if someone camps outside the map (outside invisible walls) then that is cheap...
But if someone is for example camping at the attick of THE PIT... you should still be able to kill them, you get camo 2 snipers and a rocket launcher.

I've played with several 6 or 7 year olds in Matchmaking, one of which didn't even know how to pick up a weapon (needless to say, he got no points), and several of them cussed and screamed bloody murder the whole match. One of them was on my team (I muted him very quickly ), and the others were on the other team, but I could hear them bitching and screaming everytime I killed them.

I think that teabagging is never ok unless teabagged first, and then only on that person. If the whole other team is teabagging, then it's on .

Camping is a ligitimate strategy, although it doesn't always work the best. Anywhere someone is camping you can throw a grenade, use a rocket launcher, or a sniper, etc. It's just how you deal with it that makes it a good or bad thing.
