That recon is looking good so far. I will keep an eye on this build :)
Thanks! Always great to have more advice and viewers!
sry to give you critics but you should spend more time in your peps. your shoulder and the beginning of your helmet is warped and have many leaks (example: the part with the number 11 on your helmet forehead). you should use hot glue and spend more time in the folding process. you can scale up your folding lines in pepakura to get more details and some extra lines. hope this helps .
It is all good. I am aware of the helmet's faults and will fix it up more next week.

Update on sword and more!

I worked on the sword for quite a few hours today. Here are some pics of the energy sword:

So i need to do some more work on the sword and the knife, but mostly on some pepakura. I will post some more later!

Is it a Battle Rifle?
UMMMMM...no

Looks a lot like a portal gun from Portal
Everything looks pretty good man!!
Thanks dude! Been pretty busy with school and spending all and any time on this!

You beat me to it! But ya could that be a portal gun?
Yup. He is actually putting lights, sound, Portal 2 quotes, and music into soundboards of the gun. Pretty cool guy and he helped me through the whole sword process.
Thanks for the comments and there will be more soon!

SOOO...this was a busy weekend. I got the knife and sword done (will post pics soon, can't now). I obtained a new respirator and full body suit for the resining process. I got bondo brand resin (the Home Depot guy told me that it was a combination of the 2), and all of the proper materials. This Thursday and Friday are extra weekend for me, so i will start the huge process then. Until then, i think that no pics will be up (busy week ahead). Thanks for sticking around in my thread and be here for more updates!

what printer are you useing and how did u get ur printer to print sideways?

(face palm) lol oh 4 crying out loud lol you go into your printer preferences and you set you printer to landscape, although fer whatever reason the paper size is automatically set to landscape so just flip the X and Y around and then set it to landscape

and lege if ur name got any longer id have to hurt u

I am really worried that I got the wrong resin from Home Depot. I have heard about Rondo, but when I went I asked for a combination of Bondo and resin, so i was given a Bondo brand fiber-glassing solution. I think that it is the right thing, but can someone point me in the right direction?

Bondo company makes both Resin AND Filler. You don't ask for a combo at the store. You buy the resin and filler and mix them yourself.

Please edit instead of double posting, unless it's a progress post.

The ratio is up to you. If you want it more runny, use more resin. If you want it less runny, use more bondo.

Pep helm finished, sword pics, knife pics

So i JUST finished my pepakura v.2 smooth recon helmet and i am very happy with the results. I just need to trim off a little bit to have it fit perfectly. Here are the pics:

Sooo...I know that the sword handle measurements were a bit off, but it looks good and i think that it is awesome. I am about to finish the center and the side plates and then tomorrow is RESINING!!! Thanks for all of your support and i hope to post more soon.
