Hey Loess, what visor did you use for this helmet? I don't think you can use a regular bike visor for this helmet.

I did actually use an HJC visor. I had to trim it way down and gently flex it to fit the opening. I also had to build up around the edges of the slot to meet the visor, that's why there's epoxy putty all the way around the opening.

You're using a different model than I did, though. You might have to get more creative with mounting. I'll have to look at NZ's V.2 helm model to see how to fit a visor.

Wow thats sure something. I'm not even close to you on the helmet, I'm gonna work on my armor mostly (due to the fact that I'm not allowed to wear helmets for Halloween in school, and I'm trying to finish before Halloween, which probably won't happen). Other than that, good job on helm! Can't wait to see what you do with the armor too.

That sucks that you can't wear the helm at school, but at least ODST's without helms are sort of canon. You've been making amazing progress on your gear, all I have built and resined are the torso and forearms. I feel like crying a little when I think of how many more pieces there are to this suit, and that it took 6 months to get the helm this far. At least now that I have a garage at my apartment complex, I might be able to resin and glass without having to drive out to my parent's farm.

Well, you seem to have alot of space. I only got my backyard, and my bedroom for pepakura. In my backyard, I probably only use like 1/25 of the space, because everything else is used for walking, hanging clothes, or growing plants (my grandma has a big green thumb).

I'm lucky because I only live 10 miles from my parents, and we have workshops for wood and metal work out there. The woodshop is heated, so I can still work with resin and paint even in winter. :D

Finally! I'm finally (almost) finished!

ODST062-1.jpg ODST056-1.jpg ODST049-1.jpg

I have more pics if people want.

I'm ready to call this one done. the weathering will wait till the rest of the armor is done. The only other stuff to do to this is putting in the lining, and getting the visor screwed in.

I think this hobby has finally driven me crazy, though... After seeing what Flying_Squirl did with his CQB, I've given serious thought to molding this and doing the last, final few details on a tooling copy....

I don't know, I might have to wait on that for a bit, I've been slowly building the rest of the armor, and that needs work first.
