So...much...win...

the interior is really coming along well! I like how you mounted the controllers.

For the drop-down SB controller, I've seen (i can't remember where now) scissor hinges that you could use, if you attached a tray between a pair of them, the only down side would be that it would only have one axis of motion (up-down) but you could motorize it easily.

On the other hand, a dual hinge + arm system like workshop/drafting/artist lamps use would allow for 3 axis motion. Would be hard to motorize though.

Love the choice of Saitek stuff! really fits the theme.

Can't wait to see more

Like restraint bars?

That would be awesome! Or if you don't want to make those, at least some cheap racing harness.

Would you like a cookie to go with that win? :D

Also I'm with (null), a racing harness seems like it would be better as it would give more freedom of movement. Also I believe that they used flight harnesses with a fancy overshoulder padding (WETA ODST torso straps would work for this) in the MW4 intro movie.

lol sorry i didnt mean like a seat belt , i was thinking a canterleaverd arm ,like on a rollercoaster restraint,, but set up as a keyboard tray and joy stick stand .for the pilot side . but the seatbelt idea is cute saftey first !!!! mmm i do have a set of crossover, punch center with sub belts in stock mmmmmmmmm

I like the rollercoaster restraint idea, but i think it would get a bit restrictive for gaming.

Get something like this (click on picture for link)

ok lets try a diffrent discription ,, more like a tray on a high chair , "not restrictive " i used the rollercoaster as an example of the swing down action " but not tight to the chest , just to hold a keyboard tray . out from the chair ..

Still working on the under-garments for it, it's combat ready hardened leather (i took a baseball bat to the chest wearing it to test :p) so I need something suitably awesome to complement it.

i know its a boring shot , but the storage closets are ready for shelves and paint , leg open and closed

Sorry I broke it :p. Just kiddin as you know. Looking good. I have to say from what I have seen it is very well laid out. Liking the joystick setup. Keep up the good work.

I see a Steel Battalion controller! You sure like mechs!

The cocpit lighting looks very cool, is the one in the center under the table or on it?(I kinda can't figure it)

Love that,

It was too hard to resist. You just can't beat some jokes. You see it and no matter how hard you try to resist your brain goes:

Need ... to ... ... te..ll ... joke ... ... aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Jokes then follow :D .

Good for you accepting the freak inside you. We are all freaks. But some people just don't admit it. I can say that I am 100% totally, officailly, completely and definately a freak. But in what way? I don't know :unsure .

How big is the whole cockpit area on the inside? It is obviously big enough for 2 people as you have a pilot and co-pilot seat in there. It just looks like there is a little extra space from the look of the last photo. It doesn't look as cramped as it would if it were a real mech cockpit. So what is going into the extra space? Either that or my brain has just turned to mush and is seeing things again.

the cockpit floor space is 5ft x 8ft , legroom underpanel ] is 4ft x 8ft down to 3ft at the nosecone/ the cabin is 5ft tall , most of the "OS" is going in the right leg , and there is a tonn of stuff and controlles that have not been installed yet , just finished the sound "make ya peee" system ... 7.1ss / with 4, 13in motor drivin kickers . @ 650w..use'n the kickers like impact simulators ] also did a rewire on a set of 7in digital pic frames , and they will be overhead monitors for the gauges [posting a tutt on that at my mech site]
