Microsoft Cracking Down On Pep Files?

same here i will help you guys rebuild the pep database as soon as we all agree upon a new filehosting place...... or maybe we could use our own so it could be 405th member access only so we cant have outside sources seeing it... therefore no sueage or known infringments 8) but either way i can help rebuild some data bases of the pep files.... i have alot of them ..... and all file names would stay the same...cred will be where cred is due... no need to steal peoples work now in this crisis lol

I just hooked my HDD back up and am starting to clear it and prepare it for efficiency and heavy usage...

Is there a way to make my computer a portal to my HDD so people can download through the 405th.com? I have left my computer on for more than a month now and no issues, so I could host most of the files...

Jeez, this seems bad. All of our files might go missing? Is it really so illegal to create our own custom files? If we name the files something different then the names microsoft has copyrighted, then we shouldn't have a problem at all.

I think we should just have back ups and make it a private sharing system instead...

Considering this thread (and the problem) started JUST before the release of ODST last year, went dead a while after release, and is now popping up just before the release of Reach, it seems very likely Microsoft just has bots (or interns) searching for keywords on file sharing sites, in an attempt to take down leaked information and leaked/pirated copies of the game.

Also, remember to keep local backups, guys! The internet is a mysterious place where things can disappear with the touch of a button. So don't assume your information is safe out here on a free file sharing site. They'll sure as heck get rid of your files if it means avoiding dealing with lawyers.

If this is so, then I don't think that they would spend the time to register with us to look through our file system if we set it up the way...

Just to let you all know, I am almost finished with my database, so if you need files to be backed up safely send them to me.

We should all backup our files. Make that double backup. Personally I'm gonna put everything on a flash drive and bury it in my yard. Forget you read that.
