A trick that might work with blending is to mix up some Rondo instead. Do a 70% bondo and 30% Resin mix. It will go on smoother and you won't have to sand as much. Just a suggestion from my own experiences.

Yeah I've heard of people doing that, I'm almost done with the body work on the helmet - but I will definitely keep that in mind when I move on to the next piece. Thanks for the suggestion! And thx for the feedback everyone else!
Sorry for the minor update, but I'm still on track for my goal of a Monday start on painting! Body work is done aside from finishing up the lip around the visor.
Considering that the visor was designed to go on the outside of a rather large helmet, and we re-purpose them to fit on the inside of a smaller helmet, it's pretty much a guarantee that it will be forced into a shape it wasn't intended for; however, since they were designed to flex on an impact rather than shatter, it'll be fine.
It's looking great; nice and smooth and as other say, the visor fits in nicely. Perhaps this was covered, and I just missed it, but what is up with the little cut out at the bottom of the visor?

I'm dual layering that little spot to make an indent. With the shape of the visor I am using it was ideal to do it that way although Originally I had intended to just use the scratching method to make an outline in the visors tint. Its more work but I think it will look pretty good in the end - I hope haha. Also I still have a little bit of tweeking to do on the shape of the cut out, that's not final at the moment.

That's what I thought you might be doing. It might be a good idea to get that second layer in there (or at least something to fill its place) so you can properly fill in the gap while you're filling in the gaps around the rest of the visor.
Yeah I tried plexiglass but it didint work out,so I built up the area in the gap when I was filling the other gaps then I'm going to sand it to where I need it .
Grey's done, sanding then Blue tonight. If you are wondering why I did the metalic layers, I will be doing blue overtop and then scraping the edges to show metal underneath ;-p.
Base colours are down! I debated on posting pics , because it's going to look ALOT better after the weathering process - but I'm not patient enough to leave you guys in the dark. So just don't judge it yet, next time you see it it's going to look much better!
