So this is my first thread and my first time speaking in this community as of yet. I just thought a good way to start off would be to show and tell with my first two pieces I pepped out.

This was the arc reactor which as you can see was warped by my dog sitting on it.... thusly the animals have been quarantined from my work area

So this is my pep completed warmachine helmet; thankfully I was able to accidentally scale it correctly and it fits. (And yes that is my Pro-5 protein powder in the background)

I learned two things from this.... one, inorder for these pieces I need to measure, measure and measure scaling does not work for me since I have a longer torso and larger frame then the normal person and two, this hobby gives me and my wife sometime together cutting the cardstock and putting it together :D

So thats it for now I'll post more later as I venture further into this awesome art!

Nice work on the pep, and very glad to hear your scale worked out for you! Its a little discouraging to pep a full piece and find that you have to redo the entire thing because your measurements were off (or you never took any in the first place!)

Well this looks promising, just a couple of questions.

1. Are you going to fiberglass the inside, Rondo glass, or use Smooth-on plastic?
2. What are you going to use on the outside to smooth it after the resin? (If you are using resin.)
3. Are you making a whole suit, and if so is it all going to be made from the same Pepakura method, or are you going scratch build some of it?

Like I said, looks promising, hope to see more from this project.

Well, I was thinking of fiberglassing the inside like I have seen in the tutorial videos and then use bondo (I'm experienced with bondo doing body work on cars so I thought that would be easiest for me)

I definitely want to make the whole suit; I pepped out the chest only to find out it was too small, real noob move but like any other good noob I researched and found out my mistake and learned to measure correctly so I shall try again and hopefully have more pictures up soon.

Also I hope to fabricate the all metal arc reactor plans found in the forums; I've never work with electrical but am ready to learn.

Looking pretty good. Nice pep work. Was the arc reactor pretty easy to pep? I've got the file, just haven't gotten around to pepping it yet. Nice to see one done. Keep up the good work!

Yeah the reactor was pretty easy despite how small it was, a good tool to learn how to glue flaps together

Nice for a first attempt. You get a LOT better with a little bit of practice. By the time you're done with the suit, you'll be a pepping expert.

So I finally finsihed the chest plate and as you can see from this photo this is the moment I had mentioned earlier where I learned to measure

and here is the completed pep of the warmachine chest plate... the back wil be next

And as always please feel free to let me know what you think and what I can improve on... as for now I'm hopping into the jacuzzi with my wife and hopefully she doesn't get called out for work tonight so I can get some sexy time :)

I finally finished the back plate to the warmachine armor.... its looking more and more that I can actually finish this; my motivation is well intact unlike how I previously expected

I'm Right there with ya Bro.. You can do it! I started out just like where you are at and just kept on going not looking back. But when I did look back, I learned alot of things in the process and at the same time created a monster....LOL In no time you will be creating your wife armor as well. I'm glad to see that she lends a helping hand.

You have alot of help here and support. Now let's get'r done, :p
