UPDATE:
i starrted the warrior torso yesterday and this is what i have done so far:
i got done the center parts as well as the right chestplate.
once i do the other side, i will get out some thin craft foam and get some more detail into it
i should get it done by the end of the weekend

Suscribed th moment I saw the recon helmet haha this build is going to be awesome. I too am waiting for IronuimCostuming's recon helmet. Considering making it out of foam too, in the middle of a glass/bondo build right now and wanting to test foam next so your edit is going to be incredibly helpful!
okay, i found the files for monkeyfuj's halo 4 recon helmet. I will start unfolding tonight, and will start assembling it immediatly.
i will also be posting later tonight and update including pics on the finished front part of the warrior chest and links to my halo 4 recon helm foam ready pep file.

UPDATE: i have spent he last 2 days working on unfolding and building the halo 4 recon helmet. i started building the helmet yesterday and am about half finished at the moment. as far as the torso goes i have finished the front of it and will resume it once i am finished with the helmet.
anyway here are some progress pics so far:
okay this is by far the coolest helmet i have made yet. (i have made helmets prior to joining this site, they failed miserably.) i will be doing some sort of coating technique to seal it. but i don't quite know yet how i will do so. if you have any suggestions please tell me. (btw i have already watched dbmike, and drack's vids)

i spent maybe an hour and a half cutting out the other half of the helmet, and about 2 hours fitting and assembling all of the peices:
i am pretty sure i'm the first person to make this helmet so far, and honestly the halo 4 recon helmets are only gonna get better from here on.
that's about it, i will probably be finished making this helmet in the next couple of days. i still need help with ideas for sealing this helmet. something like plasti-dip, if not any better suggestions you have, thanks

Awesome job you're doing there man! I've got a feq questions concerning the helmet, how thick is the foam you've used for it? Is it unbearably warm inside ? Can you hear anything when wearing it ? How are you going to harden it ? and most important for me, is there a MK VI helmet foam file the place you got this file from ?

okay; first off, the helmet is made out of 8mm camping mat eva foam. as far as how hot it is inside it, i don't really know. i have only just finished it and don't have it on for that long (sorry can't answer that question). having the helmet on does make a little difference, but i can hear just as well with it on. i have no idea how i am going to harden it, i would really like some advice/suggestions that anyone has.
lastly, most important to you. i got the unfolded model from monkeyfuj and I unfolded this helmet. im sure there are some foam ready mark VI helmets out there if you can't find one let me know and i might do one for you.

Nice, man. I'll be doing this helmet for my WIP build, too. How was it? Any tricky bits?
thanks bro, it was fun to make this helmet because i like this helmet so much. the most difficult bit was probably the back, but is all worth it in the end.
righto! thanks i will be posting the next stage of the helmet tomorrow sometime, (more detail) as far as resources go for building cosplay/replicas, whatever suits your fancy.
next stage for this build is finishing the torso and then the visor. the visor i'm going to make is called ingame 'Solar' which is a chrome red.
also the colour scheme for this build is black with red.
i will update my first post showing my mockup with correct colors sometime.

Nice job dude, I'm currently pepping a MK VI but I'll doing foam suits (probably five or more) for a wedding next year so I'm paying close attention to foam builds at the moment.
