The italian

New Member
Hi, I'm Luke and I'm italian. I don't speak english very well so excuse me if I'll write something wrong. I'm going to realize iron man armor and I'm sure I will find a lot of tips.

Hi Luke! Welcome to the 405th. There is a lot of information around, but I'd suggest you start by:

Watching this orientation vido:
http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/15735-New-Recruit-Orientation-Video

Reading this complete Noob list. A lot of it will still apply to an "Iron Man" build:
http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/14613-Complete-Noob-List

Reading this on how to use Pepakura to create the paper models:
http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/1034-Tutorial-How-to-use-Pepakura-to-make-your-Mjolnir-Armor

Reading this on how to "scale" your paper creation to fit you:
http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/25588-How-to-Scale-Your-Armour-Tutorial-V.2

Reading this on some of the forum's best practices:
http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/27746-ATTENTION-NEW-(and-existing)-MEMBERS!-READ-THIS-NOW-PLEASE!

That's a start only. There is lots more reading required! Have fun learning!

Thanks a lot! I still have much material required and I already use pepakura. I'm undecided if use resin or hot glue fot the inside. I'll have some problems to use resin because I don't have adequate space at home but if the hot glue result too bad, I'll use resin. Do you have some suggestions for me?

Ok, thanks. I start to realize pepakura model of Iron Man armor, than I try to resin the pieces. Be patient with me, sometimes is difficult to understand anything. I hope that my english is sufficiently correct. ;)

You're getting answers, so I guess people understand you ;-)

There are resins that are non-toxic and that you can use inside safely, but they are very expensive, especially in Europe.

As for having space... I have been doing all my resining on a (spacious) window ledge and I think the only piece that will require a larger surface is the chest. You always have to ask yourself this:

Hahaha ;) Thanks for help me! In about a week I'll try resin on the helmet and on the fron part of the chest. After that, I'll post a new thread of the WIP.
