Sup everyone im fairly new to this whole armor making thing but have decent experience with fiberglass and bondo. I have got the forearms, biceps, chest piece and the 2nd helmet glassed and waiting for the bondo. I have been trying several different ideas for strength(glassing mat, plastic resins, and glass resin with microfiber additive), hoping to find a better way to support the inside. I was mad about the first helmet since it kinda warped a little so I made a second that warped also..... 2 cans of bondo can fix that...:). So let me know what you think of this...currently 3 days in the making.

Wow great first post.....I forgot the pics.
You can see how bad the top warped in the pics, that really hurt my feelings since it takes forever to pep these things.

lookin good so far, i too had my first helm warp but it nothin alittle bondo cant fix. so tae your time and things will turn out great

So has anyone else here ever worked with the microfiber additives when glassing? Im really impressed with the plastic casting resin. It may be a little pricey but does a real good job. The glass additive has the same effect but is messier, cheaper and takes longer to set up..... just wondering others opinions.

3 days total, The helmet took like 5 hours cutting, folding and gluing. I did the 1st helmet, right bicep an fore arm the first day. The chest and left arms the 2nd and the crotch and new helmet the 3rd. I hope to get the helmet finished today, but it needs a lot of bondo.
