I had a sort of Idea on how to tackle the complex curve on the ODST visor.

You will need.
-Cutting knife.
-Glue gun.
-Glue sticks.
-Tape.
-Pepakura Visor template.
-Tinitng roll. (can be bough off eBay.)

Firsly sellotape the pepakura over the tinting roll. Then cut them out. Score, using the Kinfe by gently running it across the top and then "snapping" tinting roll (doesent actualy break just kind of snaps in to place.)
When you have cutted and scored the tinitng roll glue them together.

Then all you have to do is cut out the previous Visor and replace it.

When your not wearing the helm its quite easy to see through the visor. But when it's on your noggin, the wont be able to see your face. But you can see out perfectly.

Here's some pic's.

Cheap and Easy. Look's good, no? Now I just have to be carefull Fiberglassing it.

Thats a small video to show, that you cannot see through the visor. I think it should suffice for a temoprary soloution.

Aaaa... I love it! Was gonna have to cut up a visor myself but this is a stroke of genius. :)

Like I said this will only be a temporary solotuion. Looks okay.

NOICE! good thinking batman. you might even be able to avoid scoring the side sections ans just bend em gently into place so it does the distorted thingy it does in game.

That's an Awesome Idea, But eBay doesn't have tinting rolls, thats the stuff you put of a car window so people can't see in, right? Also could I pick it up at a car supply store, or something?

Too bad it couldn't be a bit smoother, but that could be something new for a double visor technique for an MC helmet.

I wonder how this would look for the Mark VI visor? Just a quick question, and I don't know if its been answered or self-explanatory but does this stuff stand on its own or do you need to apply it to something?

could we possibly use this method to make the helmet with the dome visor?

If you can use tinting roll to make an EVA visor, then by all means go ahead and use tinting roll roll make an EVA visor.
