Ohio Booth Build - Ideas

I'm fine with going out for lunch. We should just make sure it doesn't take up too much crafting time.

Do you all want me to bring chips and soda or anything else for during crafting?
So Cracker Barrel is certainly out of the question

I agree though, maybe penn station, or the local ice cream place with pizza maybe a minute down the road?

You're free to bring whatever you'd like. I don't eat too much when I work on stuff, not a good habit. We do have water in the fridge and plenty of stores down the road.

Ive posed on discord and IG but also wanted to give an update on the M247, the main body is almost finished just need to make 2 more pieces. Still need to figure out the tripod situation, ive talked to KG about what colors he used so I can make it close to the one he did to keep them uniform. Do yall want me to bring it with me? I also plan on getting there between 1030-1100

Totally up to you! That's so awesome though!

awesome looking

The 90° connections are done. I couldn't get the 90° supports done today for them. I really need a table circular saw to get a perfect angle cut. It also started raining at random times.

I figure it should be easy enough to finish tomorrow with all the people we will have and tools.

Here is a link to a Google Drive folder to upload pictures from the build day : Drive Link

Thank you to everyone who had showed up for the first build day for the booth. I'm glad we could finally take the step to host a get together that went so well despite the heat! Such a good time having everyone come over, Amazing progress all around.

After some photos are put in the drive, I'll give a more detailed update on what was done and how but, the short of it is we've assembled (8) wall supports, (6) walls, (2) half walls. Up next is to rig it all together and paint!

Materials will be gathered for paint soon!

Lastly we'll need to hash out the next build date for August. I recall the 15th doesn't work for Cacti, and the 9th doesn't work for LadyRed and I, so leaning more towards the end of that month. Which if that goes as well as yesterday, then we'll be in a great spot. After our August build day, we'll likely try for one more date before CGC (09/19 - 09/21) as an assembly day perhaps, we'll see after the next. (Progress can continue outside of a build day pending our availability).

Slightly off topic, but if there are any improvements to our space you can think of that we can make for the next build date or get together, please feel free to share! I'd like to have the garages in a good spot where all are comfy and enjoy being when we're working on projects. I know a mini fridge was tossed around, which we may have that covered.

Thanks again guys, great work!

We've made some stupid good progress on Sunday. But like you said we need 1 more, maybe 2 depending more build days to wrap everything up. And yes the weekend of the 15 will not work for me, we could shoot for the end of August and possibly make weekend thing? (Sat & Sun)
