tl;dr, it's a near transparent (after polishing) material that withstands temperatures up to 2150 fahrenheit, harder than glass, and the military is using it for armored vehicles.
Visor material, the only thing about it is it costs around 10-15 dollars per square INCH. (As of 2005)
