I just saw that in the Official Xbox Magazine. Nice job.

Heh, yeah. I was kind of told to keep quiet about that and not mention it was happening until the issues hit the stands. I had articles published in PSM and the Official Xbox mags here in the US, as well as 4 other publications in Europe and at least 1 (that I know of) in Russia and Japan. I've been trying to get copies of all of them, but they're a bit difficult to track down, haha.

The PSM one has been out for a month, so I don't think they'll mind me posting a shot of the article. The "fifteen pounds" thing is a bit off though, I think this gun only weighs maybe 10 or 12...

Xbox mag went on sale on the 7th on stands - I only have a PDF of the article, need to go buy the real one! Thats my fiancee in the shot posing as the Aperture Science test subject. She didn't thnk it was funny when I told her I sent her picture off so she could be a magazine centerfold...

Thanks for the compliments guys, I'll be posting my progress on the duplicates in this thread soon.

I can only hope to make props of that caliber. I'm also wondering, did you ever make the heel springs to complete the costume? (Mentioned in the Portal to my Heart article.)

Its nice to see when a magazine praises something fan-made. When I started working on my spartan, I sent pics to EGM, they titled my letter something like: "Space, safe for halo nerds"
And they told me not to gout in public with my "get-up".

I canceled my subscription that day.

That is made by plastic and awesome. It looks incredibly accurate to the in-game gun and the fact that it changes colours just adds to the effect. I would KILL to get my hands on that thing.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank AoBfrost for his work on this file (http://405th.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7470) While I didn't go the papercraft route, having a 3D model that I could scale and print was immensely helpful in the creation of my gun.

Thanks for the awesome work dude!
