Yep...This the third time I caught him posting a recast of mine. And I know I have missed more in this past summer not being on eBay a lot.

Wow. He does not know how to sell a product. Oh, the cast is bad, and you need to trim it. Oh, for extra money, I will remove more product off what you are purchasing. That guy is absolutly dumb, and i cant believe he is getting away with that crap. Sorry bout that, man. Once I finish my helmets, im not going to sell anything to anyone, even a family member. You never know when people can stab you in the back with a bowie knife, and make money off your hard work.

I think it's just bad if you look at his feedback he's sold a ODST and Recon helmet on eBay probably both recasts, Makes you wonder why he does it though if he's just broke and doing it as a fast way to get money he's obviously using bad materials since he's getting horrible castings. Even though yes he's a recaster I do have to applaud him for not selling these things for prices like what I have seen on here like smoothcast helmets going for over 300, but I also don't like it when a recaster casts off a 405th member.

Haven't seen a recaster thread in a while; I was hoping people had finally come to their senses... Apparently not...
JediStumpy's helmet truly is a work of art and the fact that it's worthy of recasting should be taken as a compliment but ultimately what he is doing is WRONG! To use something created by someone else's hard work to gain money without the creator's permission is, at the very least, a betrayal of trust. But, looking at many of his previous items, he has recasted LOADS of your stuff! Surely you could sue him or something...?

Because he is lazy and is trying to make quick money by illegal means... and probably isn't skillful enough to create something worthy of casting....

This just makes me sad:*( I still miss Rube. He was my number 1# hero on the 405th. I have looked up at him for a long time.

This is why Rube quit the 405th. REcasters. He was so sick of seeing his work horrebily remolded and then sold on ebay. He could not stand it. Just look at rubes last posts. They all are of REmolders/ Recasters. This is why I only want to sell my future casts local, since then I know who bought em in person. If there just was a way to prevent REmolders/ REcasters Useing a drill or something to write down the Copyrights on the helmet would not work. They just fill em with bondo and sand it away. If you are going to trade your casts online with 405th members. Only trade em with trusted members or people you know or trust.

Rube's 405th spirit will always be here!

recast is to mold someone elses cast, then casting out of that mold and selling them for a cheaper price than the original.
also it isnt illegal, just frowned upon.

he was caught about a year ago recasting either link or rubes helmet, maybe even both. i cant remember the details. i cant believe that this guy is still going strong. i wish you could have seen the "progress pictures" he showed everyone involved in his original fiasco. epic fail.

yeah, in his "progress" pics he was literally pouring bondo straight from the bucket onto the "wip" helmet that looked like one big glob of bondo already. Then presto, I looks strangely like a finished rube helmet.

that sucks.... he cant even cast properly, but the good thing is that when i looked there were no bids !!!!!!!

im going to make my suit out of the pep files, then make 3 casts, 2 for my friends 1 for me and i'll keep the original as a show peice. i decided to make my friends pay for the cost of the the plastic, and they think its only fair but they wont recast it.... they don't know how ( sniggles to myself )

Sorry to hear about this again. His work doesn't do you justice. So maybe no one will want it. He had 23 minutes left on his recast with no bids. I took a look at his last sells. None of them look very good. Hope he doesn't get any better at it.
