What more do you need to harden it? :p

Well....I guess you could always put metal rods in the cardboard, like in between the slits.

what if i use paper mache first then put resin over it?

You're fine if you fiberglass over (or preferably under) the cardboard. Remember to wear proper protection when using resins. If you use cardboard only, then whatever you make will form a lot of cracks.

wait so if i have cardboard armor and I paper mache it, then put fiberglass on the insides, then i can put resin on the outer part of the armor?

will it get soggy and fall apart like baddog said?

If you put it on to thick it will warp your cardboard. I would paint a thin layer of fiberglass on and let harden, then you can coat again to make it thicker and harder without the worry of warping as much. ;)

That would be the idea ;) I usually paint on my first layer about a mm thick, or enough just to dampen the outer wall of the cardboard.
