hi braytak, basically I used hot glue to add the visor to the helmet. the upper edges I needed to use some screws to apply.
In the first way I used the hot glue on the center parts of the visors top and bottom and thats it. after the visor was added I used hot glue from the outside to "fill" the open spaces so the visor nor fits 100% to the "helmet" ;)

good thing is, if the hot glue turns cold you can easily remove it from the visor (but you should try this first with some spare-parts.

sorry for not updating the last week but I have been really busy these days.
Finally I managed to adapt the lights. It was quiet a hard way to cut through the helmet (strange feeling being close to destroy what took so long ;)) but it all turned out to be quiet well. Even if the lights arn't 100% aligned I guess the result is ok.

I used 4 highpower LEDs each side and a big bat-pack since I want to add some cooling devices to the helmet (as told some posts before).
Here the pics:

And last but not least I don't want to deprive the padding of the helmet:

yea what kind of padding is that , and i think it looks great but i always feel we are the hardest on our selfs

don't tell me nuts but... I used some heating pipe isolation ;)
That allows to adjust it right as you need it ;) what might be of special interesst for active?! hu? ;D
The whole padding did cost about 3€ and will later be hot glued to the inside. right now (even while not hot glued) it allows me to do a handstand without loosing the helmet ;)

Nice paint job :)
Thank you very much :)

Hi everybody, sorry for not updating anything but I was not able to do anything new due to some renovation work and christmas preparation stuff :(
But I do have a question regarding the weight of your helmets. Could you give me some info about it? I'm wondering if the helmet I created is a bit too heavy?!
My scale shows 2.8kg / 6.17pounds

Hi Breci, thanks for input. "only" one layer of fiberglass? how stable is your build?
I guess my next helmet will not be children proof but less in weight, the only question is the required strength...

Thanks a lot :)

I just bought some material (chickenwire + ducktape) to create a full size dummy, so hopefully I'll find some time to start with the armor.
Also I found somebody that also is interessted in building armor so maybe things will be faster in the futur ;)

dang! i really like te helmet man it looks awesome man, the colors on it turned out really nice :) great job man
