Scaling help(PLEASE READ)

I'm making T-51b Power Armor from Fallout and I have a question about scaling...
i have the helm from here (it is for letter sized paper)
and I'm wondering if it needs to be scaled and if so with what method.
To be honest, anything's gonna help!!

The original scale of a pepakura model will not fit you nine times out of ten, so scaling is necessary and is the most important step. There's a thread that has scaling methods.

Also, you can try th old fashioned way by measuring your body and adjusting the pieces to compensate for your size.

Most of the pep files were made in the sizes for the actual characters as some people have told me before. What I do to is measure the length, and width of the specific spot then multiply by 25.4, as told by a friend, and one piece I just made came out great. Add an inch or two for padding.
