Thought i post this here as well as the the rpf

Right now i think i spent little over year on an off doing some basic research. First looking for plans most of the plans out are off so i had to remake them luckly i found plans posted by Josh and his are very close

The armature I found a local metal shop that can make it for a far price so will need to visit on a weekday. I dont have a ability to have something done right and paying a few bucks up front will make this easier in the end

The material i using called styrene i used 1.5mm for the the basic shape and will be using 1mm to sheet the top

-Update-

Found some time today to get some of the ribbing done actually make this post alittle more interesting. Soon i will need to buy the black styrene, i only got what was needed to build the basic shape and to base layer for the top/bottom

But i am glad this will be having material over it wasnt really worrying about how clean it would look an used some spares pieces that were just big anuff to work why waste it

Thought i post a smaller update

i was able to rib the other half with the support struts. I am going away from the "traditional" way of building, i really enjoy having this on a flat table i dont have to worry if my model is not level. Only problem is that the longer i put off the armature the longer it will be in half basically covering my kitchen table

I also got to determine the lights currently i am leaning to the el sheet find it gives the best overall look but not accurate to the model it self

Well finally got back to this missed alittle progress but it was me reworking all the ribs

I finally got the proper thickness for the dome skin so after buch of attempts finally got it to a point were i can walk away an work on something else hopefully. One this i wish i had was vac former it would have made this step really easy an quick
