Hey all, Im embarking on this bold pursuit, the Spartan III MK V armor from Halo Reach. Although i will be making all of Noble 6's pieces, it will not be Noble 6. Insead, my custom Spartan, Daniel-271. Im thinking some custom additions and belts and things, in Emile's style. I have gotten done pepping the helm, but its a tiny bit small. but no problem, beucase winter is setting in here, so resining and bondoing will have to happen next year :(
but i do have some pics, and i will try to keep this updated with anything i might have created partaining to this project. meaning weapons, actuall armor pieces, sketches, things like that. K? sounds good. and I will try to keep this updated. promise.

could i tell you what i think. there are alot of these 'noble 6' helmets on the forum so i suggest maybe you add something for it to stand out from the rest, and also very good pep work!

I'll say what I think, in that case. Making standard helmets and armour is fine, especially if you're going to put you own details in.

So after looking around for a while, ive decieded to make foam armor, like timecon and TheBradinator. Ive had decent expericance working with building cardboard things like this, so this shouldnt be too hard.
I will be picking up foam this weekend, and probably will have something to show for it within a few days. just be patient, it pics will come... i swear.

sorry for the double post, but i think its okay cause i got progress pics this time.

the foam cuts arent the cleanest, but they get the job done. thats what the
dremel and plasti-dip is for, right?

anyways, here are the pics:

If you redo it, try not to cut so many pieces out, remember foam is flexible, so it will bend to what ever shape you need. And they way you cut it is the biggest factor, cut at 45 degree angles most of the time, so the parts a have better edge and curve.

I decided to remake it, because I wasnt too thrilled with the result, and after considering StevePerv's advise, and deciding to base it more heavily on timcon's build. with scratchbuilding some and adding my own style of course o_O. here you go! (would have gotten pics up earlier, but ive just been busy [life comes first] and ive been kinda lazy XD)

im not doin noble 6 per say. just sharing some of the same armor pieces. the shoulders will be different, plus have lots of different addons like knives and ammo. different colors as well. so no, this is not a noble 6 build.

im curious to see the final product. Im also making my own mark v (b) armor made half of foam

Looks gosh darn cool dude, mind me for making a suggestion, why dont you put together the peped flat surfaces, and cut it out on the foam. prevent many seams

thats what im doin now, since i restarted. the cuts aren't as clean as id like, but I dont have access to a band saw or electric knife, so watcha gonna do about it? :p exacto is not the prettiest or best, cause you have to do a ton of sanding, but oh well. ill try to get a picture of my hopefull finnished product up soon.

Sorry for the LONG wait for any kind of progress, and the double post. As I said before... I completely redid the chest, and I have done most of the cod piece... I am currently working on the thieghs now. And, now, without any futher adeu... PROGRESS :D

When I started my build I did not have a hotknife or bandsaw either, what I did was use a metal ruler and a razor to cut about 2mm (1/8th inch) through the foam, then large scissors to finish the cuts. It still required sanding, but it saved the blades from dulling to fast and helped with the jagged edges.
