How'd you get such a crisp capture of the Starry Night clip? The one on the the wiki has a ton of motion blur in it. Did you use a special program, or a higher quality clip, or some other method?

I have that same image in my reference folder. I think it's just floating around google.

I have a few programs installed on my computer to allow me to make the video as HD and as large of a screen as possible. I then went through it frame by frame and took the best possible pictures and saved them in a folder. I then printed whatever picture(s) I needed/need as I went/go along.

Do you think you could send that folder to me? All I've got is lame Windows Media player, and it sucks for taking screenshots. I can pm you my email.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but I hit "The Wall". If you have seen "Run Fatboy, Run", you'll totally know what I mean. If not, then I'll explain.

The wall isn't real. its just a metaphore for saying you "lost the will to do the project", or you "simply don't think you can carry on." I had hit the wall a while ago, but LastSpartan talked me down. I just hit a second one, so don't expect to see any updates for some time. Its been the same with my Battle Rifle, I simply lost the will to make it.

Sorry everybody for this, but we all hit the wall at some point. Sometimes its small, sometimes its huge. This one is pretty big.

Any incouragement would be great at this point.

Thanks.

i hit the wall and only one thing saved me

find a partner in real life. my friend does all my pep, and i do all the rest. it takes suuuuuch a load off!

other idea: think of the cash ull make when u produce a great suit and mold it. ebay suits average around $1000-3000 :)

Never give up my friend.

And as i recall, in run fatboy run, he broke threw that wall by pure will. Stay motivated! look at pics of people just a step or two ahead of you

I can't make too much cash. If I make over a certian point, im more then sure I will be sued by Microsoft, and the other company that did the digital effects for the commercial. Thats a downer.

remember adams wicked sweet red armor he sold for a ton of cash and every tech site talked about it? he never got sued :)

I hit the 'wall' a lot. I just wake up one day and say to myself, "I really don't feel like working on my armor," and that's it. Happens to the best of us.

agreed underdogg.

and then other days i wake up and im like- damn, i have the materials it takes to have a f***ing master chief suit of armor, why am i not doing this?!?

the wall simply comes from extreme loads of work to be done. If you just take baby steps and have a small rewards system it becomes a lot easier on urself and stop thinking how long it will take to finish. if its a burden- don't do it. You really have to want it if u ever, in any way short of robbing adam's garage (jkjk)want to own a suit of Spartan Armor

Alright, I got past the wall. It took alot of reassuring and stuff, but you guys gave me the final push. Thanks.

But, I have decided to make this whole suit a long-term project. Over the next year or two, I will work at compleating it. Progress will be slow, but I have an other project up my sleeve, so be prepaired to be blown away.

Cheers!

you should try it the old fashioned pep way. check out my tutorial on mud glassing- using this method you could finish a whole suit in 2 weeks at 3-4 hours a day

I have all my projects up my sleeve, I haven't made a single WIP. I'm just going to have one day where I have a big armor and prop debut, hopefully :p
