Hi 405th!

For anyone who happened to see my first Razor thread, you might know the back story to this. My ex-girlfriend (who I am still very good friends with ;)) loves Johnny Depp movies, her favorite being Sweeney Todd. So this year, I am making a new razor set for her as movie accurate as possible. The project I attempted to start had many problems and setbacks, mostly associated with equipment and skills that I did not have!

So instead of attempting to carve each razor handle out of polycarbonate plastic (or some sort) by hand, which wasn't a very good idea, I will be molding them. I will sculpt each handle out of no-dry clay, which is WAY easier than plastic, ans I will take silicone molds of them and cast them in urethane plastic reinforced with rigid steel wire.

The razor I will still cut and hone myself along with a daunting polishing job, but it is worth it for her!:$

Anyway, since my computer design skills have been upgraded from Microsoft Paint to SolidWorks 2010, I have been able to make more accurate and interactive drawings than I previously could. With handle details omitted, here are my designs.

If any one else would like, I will be making sldDWG files of these to scale so that you may make your own as well!

Thanks 405th!

Oh, and to the mods, the topic I originally posted was over a year ago, so I did not see it to be out of the question to start a new topic. Thanks!
