Hello 405th,
Team Win Studios is proud to announce our most current project. Over the past few months, we have been intensely working on our ODST Armor for DragonCon 2009. Over the course of this time, we have re-geared the project multiple times and are finally happy to say we have some major progress worth reporting. Originally, this was to be a WETA ODST project. We covered significant ground in the project, but with the release of the HALO 3: ODST teaser trailer and more information to follow at E3, we decided to turn our attention to the in-game models of the armor. This meant we were back to square one, but with much gained experience this time. Our work continues on the original helmet, but in the mean time we have already begun work on the Dutch Helmet from the game, and have significant progress on the rest of the armor.
The team includes: Todd (SN: Goosebot 5000); Leader/Project Manager
Erin (SN: Erinocolypse); Pep work/Apprentice to Goosebot 5000
Jason (SN: Techbot); Apprentice to Goosebot 5000
Goosebot 5000/Todd is the head of our prop studio. He introduced this project/propping in general to Erin and myself last summer. He has taught us a lot and we have all learned a lot together as well. From here on out, Todd isn't just a one man team. Look out for more projects from Team Win Studios in the future.
We are here to ask and answer questions, as our next stages of the project are uncharted territory for us, but we can handle it. We are motivated and excited to share this project with everyone, and most of all its been really fun.
Here are the photos of the Dutch Helmet (model by Rundown, pepped by Erinocolypse):

During assembly.
Finished pepped Dutch Helmet by Erinocolypse. Cutting/Folding/Assembly time: ~26 hours.

Sneak peek of Goosebot 5000 Working on the original Helmet (still looking fantastic BTW).
Erin adding the first layer of resin to the outside.
Myself adding resin to the stomach and chest pieces.
The helmet after the 1st resin coat on outside.
Since these pictures, we have finished the resining stage of the inside and outside, and are ready to Fiberglass.
More Progress will happen today, Erinocolypse should be on tonight with more pictures in this same thread.
Over these last few months, Erin and myself have just been sucked into this world thanks to Todd. I'm glad we finally got to share this with you, and we look forward to keeping you updated with our progress.
Time to play some of the Bungie V. The World playlist.
For the Win,
