A pole that telescopes, you can find them in Sporting goods stores, just cut to length, and then attach.

Or, you could try some differnt sizes of PVC Pipe. I'm 90% sure if you sand PVC you can paint it fairly well. Or, if you have a good bit of money to waste you could get an airsoft gun with a telescopic stock, take it off, and modify it. I'd rather do the first one or what ^ said.

Telescopic rod, or 22-25 millimeter steel tube. ( I used 22mm steel tube. )
