So, i just fiberglassed the top portion of the helmet today, it went alright. I think i started too late and something else cause it was taking a long time to dry.
In bigger news, i finally bought a Dremel. Its the new 4000 and it a beauty. Cant wait to use it on something.

So we'll see how that turns out. Looks like its going to be kinda small though :[

So, ive made an incredable amount of progress in the last few days, and im ver yhappy about that.

I've come as close to finished with lganderson's chest file ( www.dawnunderheaven.com ) and let me say its the best looking one out there so far. I just need to make a makeshirt pieces so it will fit more snugle to my body, and lok better on my scrawny body. I've noticed that the Halo Reach Armor set seems to be easier to make for me, could just be cause a lot of the pieces are tubes. XD

But here are the pictures. No one wants to hear my ramble.

It fits me pretty well if you ask me!

Fiberglassed another 1/3 of the helmet today. Also learned i have a Panic disorder, but thats not the point. I also put the finishing touches on the chest piece. >w< Im so happy with the end result. It fits so well, compared to my MARK VI which is WAY to big. I'll upload pics a little later when its dry.

Good news 405th, as of today, i am a real man. Sorta. I officially can use poiwer tools on my own now, so its a right of passage in my mind. I may not be 18 till February, but that's only a number.

So, i used my Dremel 4000 for the first time today. Its beautiful, but i needed to turn up the speed, but tomorrow. I'll be cutting out the visor on my N6 helmet, i'll take pictures or maybe video!

As promised, i took pictures today.Its been a while since i really updated so here's what ive done. I finished peping and resined the chest piece once. unfortunately, it feel over and the back caved in but i think i can still fix it. I finished fiberglassing the inside of my helmet, i did a much better time this time around except the resin turned a weird green color when it was drying. >>;; so then i used my new dremel the cut out the paper visor. I sanded it a little bit, mostly taking off the small resin beads. I also got out a bought a color "Smoke Gray". This one has a gloss to it which might make it look cooler or worse. We'll see. But for now, you see.

Really? I'll have to go check it out. It doesnt look that light, but it could not match. >.< Thats ok, light is fine.

Discovered a horrible fact today. Well not so much a fact, as a finding. THis is what i found when i went out side and checked on my chest piece ;A;

IT's beyond salvage, guess ill just make a new one. Plus with school and my health stuff, it wont be done by Halloween. OH well. Next year maybe.

I tried it on for the fit, i think its good on scale. Boy, what crappy luck that is. DX

Oh, and i took a look at the visor in the helmet. That went well.

Awesome Update. I've been working on a secret project. Check it out 405th.

It turned out awesome if i do say so myself. Now i need to rebuild a chest piece to attach it to D;

I've done a huge amount of work onmy helmet the past few days. Its turning out beautifully. the paint looks better than my Mark V, so im happy. I'll have pictures later tonight, so check back later. : D

I finished the helmet! Well, the exterior anyway. If i can get come silver paint ill mark it up a bit, but other wise I'm done. Still need to pad it but i have the foam and that should be done tomorrow.
