Thanks! Yes. I do have plans for the boots. Yeah when I saw the picture I was thinking that the boots would make a huge difference, so I'm going to make them soon.

Have you though about an alternate way of doing your knees? Elastic on the thigh to the knee, then from the knee to the shin. That way, even when you kneel, it is still against your knee. Just my two credits.

I totally agree with you, those knees! That's annoying me a little as well, but it's not that bad. Besides that, It's a pretty solid build all the way through!

The knees were last minute. I was going to do the whole elastic thing, but I didn't like the knees I made in the first place.The floppy section was annoying to walk around with too. Eventually they just fell off, and I'm happy they did cause I'm going to redo the knees anyway.

As far as Wushu goes, my performance sucked, given my restricted mobility. However, given that I was wearing armor, I'd say that my mobility is pretty damn good.

This is a double post I know, but I must make an alert to anyone who is remotely keeping up with my build.
Sadly, I will not be building any more parts until at least thanksgiving, or at latest, Christmas. Naturally, things like school are requiring more time than I have been allotting, and that neglect has been showing. Therefore, it would be best for me to finish this semester before resuming building my armor. I will still read threads and try to help and offer encouragement to fellow 405thers though. Ugh...withdrawal is sure to afflict me eventually...

Today, or rather yesterday, was Halloween, and it was a blast. Well, for the most part it was. It was actually a rough night. I went with my girlfriend Trick-or-treating with her UNICEF club. Firstly it took forever to get the thing started, then, when we finally loaded up in the car, we got rear-ended. Nothing immediately showed, but further inspection yielded a compressed trunk cavity and a mis-set bumper. Didn't help that her car is a Mercedes. Then, the neighborhood we were assigned to was pretty sketchy, so we left, drove around for 30 minutes wondering where to go, finally found a good neighborhood, only to realize that another UNICEF group already got it. So my girlfriend has lost her motivation to do anything (completely understandably), and our deadline to collect donations was over after only 15 minutes of actually trick-or-treating. So yeah, pretty rough...
I definitely would've entered contests had I known where to go for one. And sadly, I have no pictures of myself to post from today, but walking around, I had plenty of photo requests, so pictures are floating out there somewhere. Amazingly, I spent SEVEN STRAIGHT HOURS in armor today, and loved every minute of it! More interestingly, though, while I was in the cafeteria in armor, a guy walked up to me and told me his roommate made a blue Mark VI, a showed me pictures. Before this, I had thought that I was then only one at UT into armor building, but I'm ecstatic to know I'm not! I haven't met the guy yet, but I'm increasingly eager to. I'm sure I'll see him around at a midnight release of H4 or at the H4 extended play the university is hosting.

Hey, man. Don't worry about having to put off your build. Life comes first and school is important. Take your time and I'm sure once you have time, you can apply what every you may have learned between now and then and put out a great product.
Sorry to hear about the bad luck on Halloween. I know how those days can go. That's pretty cool that you found out someone else close to you is or has made a set of armor though. I bet y'all will have fun once you get together.

Yeah, Thanksgiving is coming up and so is Christmas break, and you can bet I'm gonna be building then
I still haven't net the guy who made the blue Mrk VI, but I'm sure I've seen him around...just without his armor. A couple of the guys I met at the launch were from around here too, so that was exciting as well

Yeah I had just added them. I had a blast. I was shaking with excitement as I drove 15 minutes to the event in my armor. Since I had preordered my copy of H4 from Amazon, I didn't even buy. Ha ha, I was just there for the attention and to celebrate the release of another Halo story.
