Which Dremel Do You Use?

Hey so I plan on buying a dremel this weekend. I'd just like to know which dremel you use for all of your armor needs and which do you recommend, from either the list below or any other.

Dremels that I found online:
Proxxon w/ 43 piece set (local store near my old college)

Black & Decker 3 Speed w/ 30 piece kit

Also, which bits should I buy for armor cutting(splitting belt in half, etc.), for detailing in lines, for sanding/trimming edges?

I have the 50pc kit. aka the dremel 400 xpr. I love it, and the fact that you have 10(I think) speeds isntead of 2, is a lot better. Moar power. and the case and all the accessories are nice.

Spend the extra bit of money, its a tool you can use for everything, and keep for a long time.

I don't remember which model specifically I have. It has about 10 speeds. I also have a flex shaft and the router attachment for it. It's not the 400 series. I would suggest the Dremel w/50. It should have a good assortment of bits and sanding disks.

My stupid capped internet wont load the links, but i would suggest buying the "Dremel" brand, I've found that their the most reliable. Buy whatever has the most speed settings and is a "Dremel"

I use the Dremel Two-Speed MultiPro w/ 40 pieces. I have a drill press, and flex attachments. It has served me well since it came out a couple years ago. I do more than just halo armour, I also reproduce as a hobby, steel armour from 16th cen. and I use it for engraving and cutting intricate parts. the control is great.

I bought the Dremel 395 Multipro kit with Flex-Shaft. I wouldn't recommend a cordless 2-speed tool for this kind of work. Cordless tools don't have enough juice, IMO plus 2-speed settings don't give you enough fine-tuning for some types of job. The 395 is the classic model and the 400 is probably better suited for slightly more heavy-duty kind of work.

top one is cheaper, but then again I could return the other one at Lowes much easier if something doesn't work right.

The dremel w/50 pieces is the same model I have. The variable speed settings are great. You'll find yourself using it for more than just your armor. Mine has notched doors, removed rust and rusted bolts, cut drywall, sheet metal, and many other uses that I've forgotten. I strongly suggest the Dremel name brand. I've got one of my dad's from years ago that he used all the time and it still runs like a champ. You can't beat the quality.

Well maybe not...but it packs a bigger punch than my old faithful Multipro that died last year.
