I assume you'll be sanding down the rondo'd sections once the whole piece has been covered? I only ask because it looks like a lot of the details are getting rounded off to the point where it looks like it's been vacuum formed.

I'm pretty sure you can use the designer for free. It's only if you want to save that you have to pay for it. Not saying that people shouldn't buy it as it's amazing software.

I think it looks fine. It may be a little roomy, but these helmets aren't always proportional to your exact head. Once you get the rest of the armor on and your under armor I think you'll be set.

Those cardboard details look amazing! I can't understand why anyone would try to do those with bondo... Looks like is all coming together nicely. You've got me excited to see what you can do with the rest of the armor now.

Short of making a test shin and trying it on for yourself, I don't think any formula will ever work out 100% for everyone. I figure if I'm going to invest a major chunk of time and money into the piece, I might as well be absolutely sure that it will fit. I guess what I'm saying is do away...

Are you using tin snips or some equivalent to cut it? Looks like you have a little filing ahead of you but really awesome non-the-less!
