Absolutely not. I’m 6’0, 200 pounds and it feels perfect. This is NOT a small weapon
Would you recommend building one out of foam myself, or buying this?

For the price? No question buying...I think they go for around $40 now? And the level of detail is incredibleWould you recommend building one out of foam myself, or buying this?
I highly would reccomend this for the pistol aswell! If you dont like the bullet holders or want the slide to be stationary and not function but better suit the actual appearance you can use bondoFor the price? Is there a tutorial on how to turn Boomco into what you pictured? That is beautiful. I have a can of black and Red paint that I would use to mod so it fits my spartan.“I need a weapon” - well here’s what a one day build can get you....I completely gutted and repainted a Halo Boomco assault rifle. Added LED’s and a Fluorescent plexiglass ammo counter.
There isn’t a tutorial but I’m sure I can write something up. I make the props and costumes for a haunted house here in MD so I’ve been swamped with work but I will try to make a simple DIY write up or video here soonIs there a tutorial on how to turn Boomco into what you pictured? Dang, you are busy. Love haunted houses btw. It's the last year of one in my town. Gonna make it big to send it off with pride. If you would, PM or mention me when you finish the tutorial, I'd greatly appreciate it.There isn’t a tutorial but I’m sure I can write something up. That is actually amazing! J also hate how in the second to last picture it is still looking at me...Still love sharing my work with you guys even if it’s not halo related. Like I said I help run a haunted house during the season and I wanted to create a demonic pumpkin mask. So here she is!
Fletcher's files are awesome! Double check the chestplate though, he just uploaded a new one recently.Bumping this thread because I am happy to announce I am FINALLY able to print the rest of the missing pieces on my Halo reach suit! I bought the files from a gentlemen on Etsy and should have them printed out in a week or two. This thread is a beautiful mess of all the projects I had going on last year. I PROMISE to do a full weathering tutorial on these new pieces because I feel as if I have perfected the most realistic look of spartan armor during battle and use about 20 different methods and applications to achieve the result. Will be fun to dust the rust off....here is the noble 6 suit as it sits now...

I actually am only printing out the cod piece, knee pads and boots. I have the rest of the suit completed!Fletcher's files are awesome! Double check the chestplate though, he just uploaded a new one recently.
Make no mistake, my motivation comes and goes and I am unapologetic about it. The fuel to getting any of these projects done relies on motivation. As for me, I am moving into a new house in September and I will have the space for a bigger game room. I want this suit to be completed so that it can be displayed properly next to master chief. So with only 2 months left to go how can I NOT, get the 3 smallest parts left to print done that will fully complete the suit of my dreams!! LolYou have accomplished what I've been planning to do. I won't deny it, I've been kind of lazy. I just kind of need some motivation, and I haven't really seen working progress with the hours I've put into my printer. Recently the filament idler bearing got slingshot because the plastic I was trying to fit it into snapped... No idea where it is
Been trying to get RandomRanger to work with me to put together the printer, because I find projects much more enjoyable with others. Not just projects, even video games. I find I play them longer because they're much more fun while but playing alone
I'd love to hear your struggles and how you overcame them with this printer project. . . Maybe I can get some motivation that way. Honestly, I can see myself buying a pre-build printer large enough for the suit, because assembling mine feels like a huge chore. It's just not fun
I fully expect a weathering tutorial! Those armor pieces look like they've been through reach and back. Awesome work!
Thank you!Hey man! Your armor looks awesome! Love the weathering!
