“I need a weapon” - well here’s what a one day build can get you....I completely gutted and repainted a Halo Boomco assault rifle. Added LED’s and a Fluorescent plexiglass ammo counter.
Is there a tutorial on how to turn Boomco into what you pictured? That is beautiful. I have a can of black and Red paint that I would use to mod so it fits my spartan.

There isn’t a tutorial but I’m sure I can write something up. I make the props and costumes for a haunted house here in MD so I’ve been swamped with work but I will try to make a simple DIY write up or video here soon

Dang, you are busy. Love haunted houses btw. It's the last year of one in my town. Gonna make it big to send it off with pride. If you would, PM or mention me when you finish the tutorial, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Still love sharing my work with you guys even if it’s not halo related. Like I said I help run a haunted house during the season and I wanted to create a demonic pumpkin mask. So here she is!

That is actually amazing! J also hate how in the second to last picture it is still looking at me...

OH HEY I literally talked to you at HOD Philly and I never saw this build thread, the H3 armor looked beautiful in person!

Bumping this thread because I am happy to announce I am FINALLY able to print the rest of the missing pieces on my Halo reach suit! I bought the files from a gentlemen on Etsy and should have them printed out in a week or two. This thread is a beautiful mess of all the projects I had going on last year. I PROMISE to do a full weathering tutorial on these new pieces because I feel as if I have perfected the most realistic look of spartan armor during battle and use about 20 different methods and applications to achieve the result. Will be fun to dust the rust off....here is the noble 6 suit as it sits now...

Fletcher's files are awesome! Double check the chestplate though, he just uploaded a new one recently.

You have accomplished what I've been planning to do. I won't deny it, I've been kind of lazy. I just kind of need some motivation, and I haven't really seen working progress with the hours I've put into my printer. Recently the filament idler bearing got slingshot because the plastic I was trying to fit it into snapped... No idea where it is

Been trying to get RandomRanger to work with me to put together the printer, because I find projects much more enjoyable with others. Not just projects, even video games. I find I play them longer because they're much more fun while but playing alone

I'd love to hear your struggles and how you overcame them with this printer project. . . Maybe I can get some motivation that way. Honestly, I can see myself buying a pre-build printer large enough for the suit, because assembling mine feels like a huge chore. It's just not fun

I fully expect a weathering tutorial! Those armor pieces look like they've been through reach and back. Awesome work!

Edit: I found my bearing: it was still lodged in the idler gear. I thought it slungshot out to the house nextdoor because the force broke the 3D printed part

Make no mistake, my motivation comes and goes and I am unapologetic about it. The fuel to getting any of these projects done relies on motivation. As for me, I am moving into a new house in September and I will have the space for a bigger game room. I want this suit to be completed so that it can be displayed properly next to master chief. So with only 2 months left to go how can I NOT, get the 3 smallest parts left to print done that will fully complete the suit of my dreams!! Lol

I’ve been working on this suit on and off For about a year and some change. During the process I have actually NEVER tried on all of the completed pieces of the suit in its current state...tonight my girl made a comment about it and finally I decided to see what it looks like.
Things to keep in mind:

The armor is sitting very loosely on me, none of it is padded and strapped therefore I know I can do better with positioning of the pieces. I was even too lazy to wear the black spandex. Currently being 3D printed are the last remaining pieces of this suit, the COD piece, knee guards and boots. Also please excuse the plastic bags over some of my helmets. I’m in the process of moving and packing up all my crap! All in all I am extremely pleased with the way this is turning out! it looks so life like, by far my best paint job yet...but man is the mobility crap. I guess that’s what I get for hating to work with foam.- Rick
