...in about everything but luster, but also doesn't tool steel rust?.
Stainless can be cast the same way you did your Aluminum, although ceramic shell would yield a better casting. It's a b**ch to work with, but the results are worth it. I just making a suggestion if you do more of these that is..
Your castings look wonderful I don't mean to question... I guess it's just personal preference.

Yeah, it is. We could probably cast it in stainless, but right now the CG is about 1/2" above the hilt, which is absolutely perfect IMO. As I said, this'll be my utility knife, so it needs to be functional, too.

Anyone interested in something with these specs?
3/16"-1/4" 304 stainless blade
cast aluminum and rubber handle, more rounded and thinner
1.5-2 pounds
16-18" long
scaled for normal humans
leather-lined sheaths
a pair, instead of just one.
Here's basic specs on what I've made:
1/4" thick hardened L6 tool steel blade
cast aluminum handle
3 pounds
21.5" long
scaled for master chief
I would buy a pair of these bad boys for whatever price you want.
Actually that knife is the reason I joined right now, so I could say I was interested. Don't get me wrong, I've been lurking for a while, but this knife made me join.
