For me, neither..
I like air guns better.
I have a Daisy break barrel pellet rifle, scoped. Take too long to shoot me and I'll pop your paintball still inside the barrel of your gun!

i don't think any one has brought up that TIBERIUS markers are the best on the market, i have both a T-8 and a T-9. Both are highly accurate, light, easy to use. plus you don't have a hopper to get in the way. the only down side is they use 8 round clips and you have to carry extra clips. all the air you need is in the 12gram co2 tank. but thats my opnion

I have a Remmington break barrel with a scope, its my favorite thing to snipe things from my roof with (inatimate objects in my backyard). The only bad thing about it is its a single shot... i need to get a M16 or something lol.

as far as airsoft vs painball id have to choose airsoft because i have a grudge against paintball guns since ive been the unfortunate victim of ambushes by my so called "friends" :cautious:

Sucks huh. Especially when your shot at point blank range with 26 paintballs while wearing nothing but a tank top and short shorts, 3 times on different days..................... i need new friends...

Airsoft is more of a strategy game and is cheaper.

Paintball is more run and gun and is more exspensive.

I like airsoft more cause i like strategy, but i also play paintball.

For airsoft gear, my favorite sites are airsoftgi.com and precisionairsoft.net

For paintball - extremepaintball.com

ugh....read the date of the topic, this is fairly old. dont necro old posts.
and paintball is way better because hits are visible, and its way more realistic. My spyder MR3 rocks the field!

WOH WOH WOH

Flamewar

If I recall, real life combat, does not involve hiding behind a bunker calling out LEFT 42 and firing the trigger as fast as you can with two fingers.

Phail.

Although Rap4 is quite realistic.

Woh woh woh! That's just the kind of attitude that makes me hate paintballers! Don't get me wrong, I like paintball the time I played it, but the players can be kind of... one sided. Hell one paintballer got in a fight with me at school. He also went straight to the ground and a week later got a "sudden interest in airsoft"
I'm trying to keep my cool here, but airsoft in no way is a "poser way of paintball". For one, airsoft was first. Two, they're totally different forms of gameplay. Three, the guns are different. Paintball has tons of pros but so does airsoft, so how about you get the paint out of your head and lighten up.
pwned...

Anyways, I say airsoft cause that's what I am getting into :D

yea air soft is better and its cheaper plus it doesn't leave painty smugeds on things joo shoot

I has a 450 fps sniper, and i gotta tell you it hurtz like hell!

I say airsoft. I find it to be the most realistic. You can pick up a CYMA AK for $75 right now at airsoftgi.com and that is a decent gun on the cheap. BTW, If you wanted you could try using the paintball rounds that are sized the same as airsoft rounds, I'm not sure of any adverse affects though. For the most realistic combat get airsoft.

Airsoft easy. The guns are more realistic (if you go for realism), cheaper, and it's by rights a military simulation sport. Plus paintball guns are usually more clunky, heavy and not very realistic. Paintball can get pretty hardcore, especially if you're into the whole "You gotta feel it to enjoy it" kinda thing.

But personally, I'd pick airsoft as that is the cheapest and most realistic of the two. Just my 2 cents worth.

Even though this postim quoting was from a long time before paintball guns for the record are made to be light. A nice high end marker alone is about 2 lbs. If 2lbs to you are heavy then theres somthing wrong. IMO airsoft guns are more realistic but I would stoill pick paintball over it. As said before RAP 4 i would say is bordering on beating airsoft guns in its realisticness. But airsoft guns being for realistic are also easily mistaken for real firearms and im assuming set up your field would be alot harder.

Also for the record paintball guns were invented near 20 years before airsoft guns. Maye not used as a game before airsoft guns but were invented originally unless im wrong as a rtee marking system for ranchers.
