try using toothpaste, put small amounts onto your surface, then paint and wash off the toothpaste, i think this method works very well.

You can also use it with mustard or any other kind of similar paste.

great tut i was wondering how to get the wear effects i experimented with a piece and sandpaper. this seams a lot easier.
i am thinking of making my armor white and blue now so i dont know if i need to make wear effects on it but i havent made up my mind yet.

You can also just put toothpaste on the spot, paint, and then rub off. I'll have to try your idea!

sandpaper makes a more worn look but takes longer and more work.
