Sorry for the DREADED double post everyone, its just i have been workin on my torso, and its workin out great!
The pics, i apologize for, its the best i could do with one hand
and from the bottom (abs are last)
and i have a problem.....If i want chest perms, do i cut where the blue line is? it seems like the right cutoff point....
I have to figure out the bottom area too.
And...do the abs only go with the MK VI chest, or all the perms? I have to figure this one out fast, so i dont mistakenly glue it on before i know whats what.

@descended- Im lazy too, but you dont have much time left until the warmer months, get buildin! 
@feardrake- I did test fit all of the helmets, so far the scout is the only one thats a little too big, but its expected, and im probably gonna put some helmet pads in there when im done. My brother is just there for a modeling demo, its not gonna be his.
I actually didnt fold any of the slivers, if i did the thing would be confetti. i slightly bent the ones that were big and important.
@Warhead (AKA John)- Thanks! I was kind of like that, pushing this one aside until last, but now im kind of saving the spartan laser for last, redoing my arms.
OK guys, Spring break being halfway over means one thing to me- Right now the torso is at 70% construction!
Just the back center and ridges, plus the abs need to be finished!
I should have it done by tomorrow afternoon, if i wake up early. So far this one is my longest project yet (the thighs took....no kidding.....5 minutes a piece)

Great work you're doing on that torso, rvb. Those HD Pep files really make it a helluva lot easier for details, don't they? lol
As for your intended permutations, aside from using buckles, here's something else you could try:
Once you've resined/fiberglassed the armour pieces that will include permutations, using a Dremel tool or something similar, drill out small holes in key places (namely, the corners where the permutations will be attached) and insert small rare earth magnets.
Make sure to glue them in place well (it would probably be best to use epoxy to secure them), and then putty over/sand them smooth so when painted, they won't even be noticeable.
No need to worry about the strength/effectiveness of the magnets, even with a layer of putty and paint over them, as earth magnets have a very strong pull to them.
Of course, you'll then have to put opposing magnets in the same spots on the permutation pieces.
That way, you'll be able to wear the armour with or without the permutations, and it'll look good either way.
Just a suggestion for you to consider, anyway. Believe me, I've given this design aspect a lot of thought, lol.
I plan on doing the same with mine, as there are a couple of permutations I'd like to wear on mine, but also want to have the option of being able to wear my armour without them should I choose to...

Well, i may just put buckles under where i plan to connect the chest piece, and put an extra set in case i want to put a perm over top of it.....its like this....
the chest is split into 2(because i cant fit in it ) so im gonna buckle the parts together underneath where the armor connects. If i put an extra set of buckles in there, it can just hide and fit perfectly in there, just for an armor perm.
I hope to buckle the whole suit together, kind of like Adam's belt, but EVERYWHERE. Get where im goin?

Looking good! So what have you concluded on the ab piece? I didn't follow it very well. I'm making the tester to FS's model right now and before I start doing the HD version, I wanna see what you're doing for that part.

I am gonna probably buckle the ab piece with little ones, just for flexibility, its a little small.....but its DONE!!!

Just to clarify, technically magnets can be solid, too. They're just a lot smaller. But, we won't get into all that rhetoric, lol.
I like the work you've done on all that, so far. I don't know what you're saying about the torso armour not fitting you well. Looks like it does to me...
