Now inserting fiberglass cloth patches in my helmet.
May be not so informative pictures...
I'm trying to preserve all curves of pep model.

starting to really take shape now! i would finish my pieces but my wife just had our little girl so im busy busy busy who knows i might build baby armor and take here to a con with me

I see that you use 160 grams paper, Is it stiff enough? I have a aquarell painting paper that is 190 gram and its not that stiff.

Paper I use stiff as thin plastic sheet. I think it's mistake to use aquarell paper - its too porous and thus more flexible regardless of thickness.

Now little more pictures just taken.

Oh, im not using the aquarell paper, im gonna wait until i find some paper thats about 200-300 gram. I thought it was the same stiffness because its 190 gram, but im guessing its based on the fibers thickness or something else as well.

Well, bevbor... the resining/fiberglassing on your helmet's coming along pretty well. Looking forward to see you bondo and smooth this thing out.

@ The Swedish Chief: You wouldn't happen to be a PF and TPZ member, would you? I recognized your TOS sig immediately, and thought you may be someone I know from either or both of those forums...

Thanks!
And there is not a mistake on the picture,
It is because I did reprinted few details after little modification, so pep.designer did changed the numbers :)
But all parts are in their places without mistakes. :)

Not long ago I hadn't any skills. I bougth fiberglass resin and made a ton of ugly mistakes. Now I have skills :)
Hand plate - I glued 1 per evening, and resined it next day. Not a lot of time takes handplate. :)

Best regards

WOW! What a thread! I once toyed with the idea of making a costume for myself I never actually started it though. :(

After seeing this I think I have to! I'm moving to a new house soon that has a garage so it'd be great to use it for something other than storing junk! LOL.

I think this conversion from a card model(essentially) to a fibre glass/resin prop is amazing! Great work Bevbor. ;)
