As for Decopirt - as told me one of engineers - it is sort of steel, no more special. He even told me catalogue number of it, something like SDFGJOJ-752476, but I forgot it immediately.

that is freaking amazing bevbor!!! i had a similar idea with mdf, it didnt work out thoe! the sheir weight of that must be prity amazing. wouldnt want to be carrying that around a party, might hurt someone. XD

EDIT: i think your right, the barrel is a teeny bit longer then the original.

Why not? I think that to make negative mold of metal model is much easier than mold of pep or clay model

If you want to quote some prices of laser cutting, and provider require the drawing file,
you can get this file and upload it to him.
This is whole plate drawing with all parts to cut in DWG and DXF format, which can be easily converted by manufacturer to program for laser cutter.

(I tried to do that with dremel, but it don't work at all! Failed to dremel out even little pieces!
